I love the original Blasphemous. Bought it on Playstation and again on PC. Bought this game a few years later as I heard it wasn't as good as the original. Also that it was easier. It isn't easier but on par with the original I think.

I was really enjoying the game. The Miracle? Give me more of this story please. Love it. Completed 100% of the map, got all prayers, even found all the cherubs on my own. Then came the penultimate boss. First phase, no problem. Then the second phase. What the actual hell? All other bosses in the game are about a 5-7/10 difficulty. The second phase of the penultimate boss is a solid 10 all the way through. Nothing in the game's enemies or bosses prepares you for this fight. At all. I died and died and died and died again. No room to breathe. No telegraphs. Hyper fast attacks. Background makes it hard to see what's going on. All together an awful experience. I had to stop after 40 or so attempts.

The rest of the game gets a solid recommendation. Music is beautiful as always. But I can't finish the game and I don't plan to come back to even try. What a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ shame. Whoever designed this fight, I'd love a word with you please. I can honestly say it is really ♥♥♥♥♥♥ boss design. Based on this, can't recommend the game.

It's easy, it's lazy and it's buggy as all get out. Twice in a row I experienced the 'immortality' bug where no matter what I couldn't take damage during the first big ticket boss fight with the skeleton man who crawls out of the sand. It's also two years old and they haven't bothered even looking into fixing any bugs or glitches. Compared to the first game, this is the temu version that they had to make because the first was popular. God I hope silksong doesn't follow that trend. In short; Don't bother with this game. It's not worth it when Blasphemous 1 was already good enough.
