I have a honest question for people playing this game in 2024
Did you actually buy this game, or did you obtain it by either means

Got it years ago from bundle I bought, in times when bundles were actualy cheap, not like today.
As many other game from those times I never really played. Until today.

It was bundled many times, there must be some key shop and or trader which has few of these keys. I didnt knew its no more available on Steam, sad. :(

btw
Have similar problem with original version of Plants versus Zombies (I know, totaly different from DS, but aweome relax game) Few years after Michael Jackson died some
greedy owner of his rights forced PVZ devs to censor their game cause zombie MJ was one of enemy types in game. Bizarre, cause nobody bothered do that when MJ was still alive a game already well known in those times. Now, there is no damned shop, neither torrent site with original version with MJ. Just so called "GOTY" version. :( I miss that version.

I bought it ~year and a half ago, because I wanted a rare game on my account. I had to choose between this and 3 other games. I didn't knew anything about any of them, but for some reason I chose Dark Souls without even watching a single review or playthrough before purchase lol. I don't think I made a mistake, the game turned out to be very good

I bought it on release from Ozgameshop which was at the time and apparently still is a physical games distributor. They used to sell boxed cheaper than digital retail back when PTDE came out.

Found the box and included goodies, everything in immaculate condition but I can't find the actual cd key. Well there is a register product key on a Bandai Namco pamphlet but I'm guessing that's not it. Only 12 characters.

The irony that my old game collection is perfectly intact, minus the single most valuable part of it lol.

I'd have to dig a little, but it was either *the 1st Steam purchase back in 2013, or in among the top five first purchases. I think. Again the checking thing...

Got it 11 years ago during a Steam-sale for 5 bucks. I actually remember having gotten a Steam gift card for me and my little brother. Applied the gift card on his account, since they can't be split and he sent me a gift copy of it. It was also one of the first first few game's i've ever gotten on Steam.

That sure was a trip down memory lane.

I got it back in 2016 but I only really played it more recently after I played remaster to see the differences. At least it meant that I could get remastered for 4 dollars at one point.

There are no "other means" to own a game on steam except for purchasing it or an account that has it (account trading is disallowed).
I was gifted it when it was still sold.
It should be illegal to pull games in this way.

Bought my just 1 year before they removed it from steam. I'm so glad I did. Remaster butchered and downgraded graphics. It's a disgrace to call it a "Remaster"
