My game keeps crashing after darkwater and I get through all the cutcenes. It brings up the loading screen and then closes. Someone please help.

Launching the game will tell you your settings file is missing and clicking on 'Configure Game...' doesn't do anything. Damn shame too cuz this game went hard and i wanted to experience some nostalgia and grind the achievements out. Unless someone has a fix for this i'd suggest people don't buy this game....

I need help. Once i complete the battle of Darkwater. You know, beating 3 shamans and a boss. It will play the Frey + Hel cutscene, Freya + Skarin cutscene, and then the story of Drakin (i think) cutscene. Then it will go to the loading screen and the game will crash. As a result, i have to complete the siege of darkwater again. Any help on what i can do to make the game stop crashing?? I am on an HP "Omenseeker" 12th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-12700H 2.30 GHz 144Hz refresh Windows 11...

I expect the game uses a specific version of DirectX, or the redist installs it to a special location the game loads from. In any case, Steam doesn't run it, so you'll have to go Properties > Local Files > Browse > External > DirectX > Redist > DXSETUP.exe After this the config editor should open without issue....

So has anybody tried the app yet? just wondering because I know it's capable of bypassing locked games with it's frame gen tech.
