Pretty fun. Played this on my PS3 as a kid along with my brother, and we decided to replay this 10 years later :)

Sucks that there's no achievements in any games in this trilogy, but oh well I guess. It was still pretty fun!

Genuinely one of the best Lego games ever made and a great introduction to batman with plenty of batman's villains. Unfortunately side hero characters like nightwing and batgirl get no screentime so its mostly batman and robin with alfred only appearing in the batcave. There are 6 chapters, 5 levels per chapter, split evenly between heroes and villains the villain side really being a nice feature ,as its ,something I'd never seen done before at the time.
The Story is decent to sum it up quickly, Batman and Robin are going around gotham capturing the inmates of arkham asylum who are causing chaos meanwhile on the villain side it acts as a set up how villains got to where they are in the hero missions. The Gameplay consist mainly of solving puzzles and doing some pretty basic combat and some platforming. The puzzles are easy but fun the unique abilities from certain suits/powers from characters adds to the fun of solving puzzles.
Combat isnt really a highlight of Lego games especially during the time this game was made so although its pretty bland there are some funny interactions you can have with each of the characters abilities in combat such as Mr.freeze with his freeze ray turning people into ice cubes or Banes grab attack doing the iconic spine snap.
I personally found the vehicle levels of the game to be the worst levels out of every chapter mainly because of how awful it is to control its just annoying to play thru.
Overall I think the game is a must buy its slightly outdated in some areas but for what it provides for being nearly a 20yr old game its definitely worth a try
