Bugs and glitches worth it?

Hey. I'm kind of new to Steam, and am wondering if LEGO Batman on here is worth it. I've heard that this game has many glitches and bugs, like how you can't climb latters, or how it's physically impossible to get passed the Mad Hatter level. I have many good memories of playing this game on my old XBOX 360, and really want to relive them. I'm just wondering if these bugs have been fixed in an update, or if there's a work around, because being able to 100 percent LEGO Batman is something I've been wanting to do for a long time. Thanks guys.

In my experience, it works fine, as long as V-Sync is enabled. For some reason, playing without V-Sync affects how some objects in the game interact, and may have even caused crashes for a few people. You just have to make sure that something, like your video card drivers, isn't overriding the game setting.

Of course, with PCs being PCs, there may be some specific hardware/software/etc. where it doesn't work so well. And, for the record, I'm still using Windows 10, so I can't say how it works under Win 11.

I can confirm. Never had any real issues with most of the LEGO games - and I've been through almost all of them on various platforms and hardware. LEGO Batman sure is one of the best games in the series, in terms of gameplay an atmosphere as well as in terms of quality (for example compared to later titles like the Potters, Pirates, Hobbit or Marvel 2). Most problems I ever heard of are V-Sync related and usually easily fixed. It is a pity the game seems to have kind of a bad reputation because of that.

Yeah, I really do love the OG LEGO Batman. It's too bad LEGO had to break up with Travelers Tales. They were a good team, even up till the new games like DC Super Villians and The Skywalker Saga. LEGO 2K Drive is actually quite fun, but doesn't have the same charm that Travelers Tales captured in their games.

I would say only get this game in the bundle with LB1 LB2 and LB3 when it's on sale because then this game is basically free. I was able to 100% it despite all the bugs I did or didn't encounter. It was not fun for me and it wont be for you I'm certain but hey, it's technically a free game (under the conditions I mentioned) and the story is amazing and worth experiencing

Yeah, I actually did buy that bundle for like $4. It's pretty to have all three games for $4. I also got DC Super Villians because that was on a discount as well. Thank you!

Never. ever. use alt-tab. It's a useful shortcut to switch through different windows open in Windows, but for whatever reason, using the shortcut in this game breaks the game. I got the mini car thing to just stop, platforming was impossible because for some reason, the moment you jump, you... land? And there was also black streaks flashing across my screen. Windows 11 btw.
The game is still playable, and I just found out that changing the refresh rate option in the video settings menu will fix the bugs (until you re-activate them ig idk), so uh, yeah.

Just want to make sure I completely understand you. This is fixable, correct? Like, you just have to change the settings that you stated, and then it's fixed, right? Just want to make sure. Thank you.
