It was probably nothing. I don't show any update here (installed or scheduled). Phantom updates happen sometimes (in various games). It may have just been a Steam thing. What was the size of the update?

It said 4GB. So either it was something really significant or, as you say, a Steam glitch. Probably the latter. Thanks for the reply, BTW!

Weird. 4 GB is basically the whole game. The game folder is about 4.2 GB here.

Would be nice if they added Steam cloud saves. Other than that, I dunno what else there is to update.

The game could have had a bunch of corrupt files. So instead of replacing them steam reinstalled the game instead...

I think it's safe to say that it does not use the Steam cloud. First, if you go to the Properties for the game in your Steam library, there's no Steam cloud setting on the General tab. And I also saw the link below posted somewhere else recently and it presumably shows all of your games that are using the Steam cloud, and I don't see Lego Batman there for me.

Damn, it's 2024 already and there's no steam cloud save yet. But a lot of old LEGO games got it lately, so I hope LEGO Batman 1 and 2 get it soon
