The practical differences from your Linux distribution should be minimal, if it is already running Steam and Proton without issues.
If you did try those instructions, at what point did it not work for you?
But it's cool i ended up going back to windows and running retrobat.
Hell of a lot easier

Has someone had success getting Street Fighter X Tekken working on Steam running on Batocera? The instructions noted by Noiram don't seem to apply to the Batocera Steam implementation. I may be wrong, but I was not able to find the folders they note. Can someone provide the directions for getting the community patch installed on a Batocera Steam setup? Thanks so much in advance.
Although I do not use your distro, I believe I basically reference two folders, which should be easy to locate. The user's Downloads folder, and the steamapps folder. Regardless of your configuration and Linux distribution, you should be able to search your computer for the steamapps folder.
If the folders or subfolders appear to actually be missing, then note two things.
1. Linux has hidden folders, which are folders preceded by a period.
2. For some folders for games using Proton, Steam only creates them after the first attempt to run the game.
Best!
