Witcher 1 first hours are like "wtf is this ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ combat, what a ♥♥♥♥ game"
And the next hours are like "I'm so addicted"

Aged rather poorly, game mechanics are so dated and clumsy, the fighting system is horrible, bad camera all around especially when going through doorways (played isometric didn't try behind view). I finished it through only because I want to play the other games in order. Lots of graphical bugs in cutscenes, I had _a lot_ of crashes which set me back sometimes almost an hour of playtime. The autosaves are all over the place, sometimes helpful, many times useless.

I got locked out of several quests I was meaning to finish, I felt sometimes it's not made very clear when you are definitely leaving an area for good. Sometimes quests descriptions show possiblities which aren't even available because of past decisions, I spent a couple of hours trying to find and get help from an elf that I probably killed in another quest. The voice acting in english is most of the time bad bad bad. Overall I would say it's an acquired taste and you gotta try it to see if it's to your liking. I might have been better off just waiting for the remake at this point but I had the 3 games for years now. PS: I went through the whole game without learning bomb making because I never read the talent trees.

Great game, great story, combat that genuinely made me question why I continue to live anymore.

Actually more like a rhytm game than RPG, with some of the most comical VO I've ever heard. Triss is straight up grooming Geralt, Shani the goat.

The game is fine but the one click combat and long walk times can get to you in the mid game.

good game but has different button config then other game so strange but is based on alchemy so is different then other game period so i ok cause a cool different game is really a COOL DIFFERENT GAME. RARE. have fun.

Zabiłem potwora, dostałem 100 orenów. Po tym wszedłem do gry, 10/10.

Unless you're a die-hard Witcher fan or you just want to experience the nostalgia I'd wait for the remake.
