How many points for faction?

Hi, i'm wondering how much points people put in the faction they create when they want to play with another players (PvP?). I bet it's not really 65, the max, right?
Maybe they want something a little bit more fairplay? Like 50? How much the base factions use?
I'd like to create the ultimate one with that rule, that's why.

(by the way, i can't find better than using a base of Vaulters with Sheredyns Ships. Do you have better?)

If there are no ground rules eszablished you d put in as many points as possible that means loading up on negative traits to get "extra" points. Whats most important in PvP matches is a strong early game. Some factions are better at this then others. Harmony for example are one of the strongest endgame factions in the game but getting them to endgame is already hard against the AI and almost impossible against players if they know that too.

65 is what the game is unless anything is agree upon.
I'm huge on growth strategies. ti all about growing stronger bigger faster.
However that often leads the issue as Fritz is saying it takes some time to get rolling. i had to adjust for ES! by remembeing to keep a military lead as well otherwise I would get run over early and have to make panic adjustments and that would cost my delay in lost growth
