even changing settings to all low or ultra doesnt change my fps at all what have they done to this game
This isn't a game you want to be putting on ultra, like ever if you want smooth gameplay

I'm running a 9070XT as well at 1440p (but paired with a 9900X) and I'm getting about 70-100 fps in albion at High settings with no framegen

Do you have Expo set for your ram? (so it's running at full 6000Mhz)

what are your temps?

Single or dual channel memory?

What kind of harddrive are you running on?

I would also recommend using the Steam overlay FPS counter and put on the GPU/CPU usage

Mine is about 95%/40% usage (it's not great, I know) and it stays stable

got the same cpu as the op and I get 50-60fps at 1440p ultra everything except for RT which is on high
so i dont think its your CPU and RAM unless its really slow old DDR4 like 2666Hz cl16 sht like that

Albion is very CPU-intensive due to all the players, namecards, Fellows, etc. Turn off frame-gen and ray tracing for a nice bump in performance. Frame-gen is butt in this game as it lowers your base FPS by at least 10%. Don't expect 60fps smoothly in Albion without a beefy CPU like the 9800X3D or 14900K with lots of core or cache.
If you upgrade from an older setup, run DDU and purge everything in windows safe mode (Nvidia and AMD). Install new drivers. Beyond that, PC troubleshooting is annoying as there's many possible ways someone screw himself, so google about performance tweaks for windows, there's a lot as default window's security nerfs quite a bit of performance.

Get someone in your living area who is really PC knowledgeable and look over your PC. Settings of game, settings of windows, pc configuration, bios, list of installed stuff, etc.

FYI, I'm getting about 100+ fps without framegen @ 1440p/ultra settings.

the game is just unoptimised crap the fps im getting on ultra settings doesnt justtify how the game looks like at all im getting min fps around 120 in god of war ragnarok on max settings and that game look far better than this game or cyberpunk on max settings with ray tracing even im getting min fps 100 anywhere so no need to deffend crappy unoptimised games and always say "just get better pc bruh" yea i need 5090 to run game on 60 fps that looks like from 2015? lmao

yea i dont need do any of this any other game runs flawless for me just becuz this unoptimised game runs like a crap doesnt mean its my pc fault
Its not just you Albion is resource intensive o.o I am guessing it has to do with all the other players in there >.>

Other games running "flawless" is not a benchmark or rule that means every game should and will as every game is different, stresses systems differently, and is built differently.
I heavily suspect there is something on your end causing this as there are far worse GPU+CPU combos that run the game without issue than what you have (unless its an issue specifically related to the 9070XT, because it is possible)

Now while I have a nvidia and not sure if AMD has similar:
Did you try removing and recompiling the shaders for the game?
Have you tried going to:
C:\Users\YOURUSERNAME\AppData\Local\M1\Saved\Config\Windows
and delete the gameusersettings.ini ?

For reference: I am running the game on a 14700k + 4070Ti + 64 GB DDR5 @1440p on ultra settings with RT + filters + ini tweaks for improved visuals without framegen and have no problems.

Albion FPS isn't great not even on a 4080
It is just a hub all you need to do is walk around and interact with benches or NPCs 40-50 is more than enough for that.

So? Apple is apple , orange is orange. Even so, your other games might run even better if everything fixed and proper. CS:GO, durian, running at few thousand fps for me is meaningless but TFD, apple, running at more than 100 fps is good enough for me. Comparatively all UE5 (Unreal engine 5) games typically run in the 100+fps range for me.

There's also such thing as unoptimized PC.
