I'm running a 9070XT as well at 1440p (but paired with a 9900X) and I'm getting about 70-100 fps in albion at High settings with no framegen
Do you have Expo set for your ram? (so it's running at full 6000Mhz)
what are your temps?
Single or dual channel memory?
What kind of harddrive are you running on?
I would also recommend using the Steam overlay FPS counter and put on the GPU/CPU usage
Mine is about 95%/40% usage (it's not great, I know) and it stays stable
so i dont think its your CPU and RAM unless its really slow old DDR4 like 2666Hz cl16 sht like that
Get someone in your living area who is really PC knowledgeable and look over your PC. Settings of game, settings of windows, pc configuration, bios, list of installed stuff, etc.
FYI, I'm getting about 100+ fps without framegen @ 1440p/ultra settings.
Other games running "flawless" is not a benchmark or rule that means every game should and will as every game is different, stresses systems differently, and is built differently.
I heavily suspect there is something on your end causing this as there are far worse GPU+CPU combos that run the game without issue than what you have (unless its an issue specifically related to the 9070XT, because it is possible)
Now while I have a nvidia and not sure if AMD has similar:
Did you try removing and recompiling the shaders for the game?
Have you tried going to:
C:\Users\YOURUSERNAME\AppData\Local\M1\Saved\Config\Windows
and delete the gameusersettings.ini ?
For reference: I am running the game on a 14700k + 4070Ti + 64 GB DDR5 @1440p on ultra settings with RT + filters + ini tweaks for improved visuals without framegen and have no problems.
It is just a hub all you need to do is walk around and interact with benches or NPCs 40-50 is more than enough for that.
So? Apple is apple , orange is orange. Even so, your other games might run even better if everything fixed and proper. CS:GO, durian, running at few thousand fps for me is meaningless but TFD, apple, running at more than 100 fps is good enough for me. Comparatively all UE5 (Unreal engine 5) games typically run in the 100+fps range for me.
There's also such thing as unoptimized PC.
