all so alot of pc players are still using a hdd over a ssd and alot of pc players dont understand having a game on a hdd makes the game take longer to load over having it in a ssd that gives way way way faster load in times in games all so you really need to take all of this stuff into account before just pointing fingers saying people are all doing this on purpose think before say next time.
You do know that you don't have any control over that right? You don't have an option that says "hey I want to fill in for people who disconnected or left" versus "start me at the beginning"
Luck of the draw, sometimes it happens, sometimes it doesn't. People aren't cheating to do this
Rewards are based on the time spent in the mission. As you are playing, you will receive awards for killing stuff, like drop ships in Axion. Someone who joins late only gets the last awards for the mission.
More than likely they're still loading shaders as sometimes this game takes a while before it will finish loading the shaders so that's likely the cause.
Something has caused problems and it has to be fixed. But it isn't the players fault, they aren't doing it on purpose and while their hardware might slow down their join, it can't slow them down until the mission is over.
As well as the fact that "rewards based on the amount of time in missions" would really cut off your own rewards in most missions because the whole point for most players is get it over with so speed through as fast as possible. If we didn't have to run through a mission, it would be over in seconds. So rather than getting five to ten minutes of rewards, you would be getting 30 seconds of rewards.
The only case where your point is valid might be on the plains as someone pointed out. The mission gets done, and then some people just sit in the end area and wait for the next person to start the mission and go through the early parts. If you really find those people giving you an issue, then just start the mission and then stand around until they take over. Take a ride on them. Or go and do some other mission on the plains and let them play by themselves.
There are so many ways to deal with the issue other than say that people shouldn't get any rewards.
Wut
I end up doing that a lot of times, not because I'm leeching or whatever, but cause I was trying to join the mission, and satisfy whatever objective I was going for. In fact I rather join a mission that just started than one that just finished, cause not everyone stay to do another runs.
People overcomplicate life too much. Games are entertainment, not a job!
