Suspicious number of players joining late into missions
Often usually as I get to the boss they'll just join. Mission rewards should be based on time spent in them otherwise this behaviour is just going to continue.

do you not understand people dont have the money for over kill pc hardware and are fighting just to make money to pay there bills these days or they are on a console and dont load in super fast because ps5 or the newer xbox can only load so fast like chill the heck out and no this dont need to be a thing its is a game not life or 9 to 5.

all so alot of pc players are still using a hdd over a ssd and alot of pc players dont understand having a game on a hdd makes the game take longer to load over having it in a ssd that gives way way way faster load in times in games all so you really need to take all of this stuff into account before just pointing fingers saying people are all doing this on purpose think before say next time.

You do know that you don't have any control over that right? You don't have an option that says "hey I want to fill in for people who disconnected or left" versus "start me at the beginning"

Luck of the draw, sometimes it happens, sometimes it doesn't. People aren't cheating to do this

The game is first come first serve rather than waits for all players to be present and active rather than loading in. I'm pretty sure it loads the avatar in well before the player has control of it. Lots of outside aspects that affect the game. Internet connection, if you got 300ms+ being on the other side of the world to there servers is also a factor.
If you are talking about Axion most people are just happy to join a good group or any group o.o I doubt they are waiting around join at the last moment >.>
Do you think they are somehow waiting for you to get to the boss before connecting? How would they possibly do that?

Rewards are based on the time spent in the mission. As you are playing, you will receive awards for killing stuff, like drop ships in Axion. Someone who joins late only gets the last awards for the mission.

Almost 2026, if they can run TFD they should have an SSD, if people still install online games on a HDD they need a good old spanking.

More than likely they're still loading shaders as sometimes this game takes a while before it will finish loading the shaders so that's likely the cause.
The latest someone would join a mission before recent patches was a couple seconds after the mission started. Now it's up to a minute which causes problems in lots of missions and intercepts.

Something has caused problems and it has to be fixed. But it isn't the players fault, they aren't doing it on purpose and while their hardware might slow down their join, it can't slow them down until the mission is over.

As well as the fact that "rewards based on the amount of time in missions" would really cut off your own rewards in most missions because the whole point for most players is get it over with so speed through as fast as possible. If we didn't have to run through a mission, it would be over in seconds. So rather than getting five to ten minutes of rewards, you would be getting 30 seconds of rewards.

The only case where your point is valid might be on the plains as someone pointed out. The mission gets done, and then some people just sit in the end area and wait for the next person to start the mission and go through the early parts. If you really find those people giving you an issue, then just start the mission and then stand around until they take over. Take a ride on them. Or go and do some other mission on the plains and let them play by themselves.

There are so many ways to deal with the issue other than say that people shouldn't get any rewards.

oh i know but you and me both know people love to do it the hard way and make there life harder then what it needs to be fair or like i said some people just still dont know a ssd is faster then a hdd and maybe some of these people are still very new to pc gaming even or maybe they just dont have the money to get better pc hardware even who knows im just free balling guesses here.

this all so people forgot after doing a update you have to reload the shaders and what i do to fix this is boot up tfd and go jump in all the maps so all the shaders are loaded so i dont have to deal with this when im trying to join wall crasher and as im waiting for them to get done im stuck there standing doing noting and eatting hits and people will think im afk when im not or a boss fight or trying to do 400% and not make people think im afk when im stuck waiting for the shaders to get done loading.

Totally feel you on this! It’s super annoying when players just swoop in right before the boss fight. It definitely takes away from the teamwork vibe. I think adjusting the rewards based on how long you’ve actually been in the mission would help curb that behavior. Let’s hope the devs are listening!

I should explain, I'm referring to plains where it's open world thus people can join in at any point of a mission even sometimes by literally waiting at the boss spawn point then just shooting the boss once to get the rewards.
Shaidon 28 Aug @ 6:21am
Honestly, why bother about that? You are doing the mission anyway, not losing anything.

I end up doing that a lot of times, not because I'm leeching or whatever, but cause I was trying to join the mission, and satisfy whatever objective I was going for. In fact I rather join a mission that just started than one that just finished, cause not everyone stay to do another runs.

People overcomplicate life too much. Games are entertainment, not a job!
