Very fun when you have a team with some common sense. But it seems that isnt as common as I thought. Too many brain dead players and they have high levels. Makes me question how long it must've taken them to hit that level LOL. I recommend if you have friends to play with

Lot of people wont talk about or address this so I will now in this Review. The Finals is overall a
great game. Awesome Maps, Amazing Soundtrack and Fun Events. Unfortunately this game has a HUGE Cheating Problem.

Some Enemies just know exactly where you are = ESP
Some Enemies have perfect aim = Aimbot

I don't doubt there are some players who are actually good. but the closer you get to The Finals after doing the knockout rounds, you'll soon know who the cheaters are. some people are so blatant with it, it's hilarious and some are decent at hiding it. The Lack of Kill Cams and Play Ending Spotlights make it hard to spot but also easy to cheat because there's no one watching you.

Like i said Fun Game which is ruined by Cheaters....Everything from the Presentation to the Commentators is Great!. but i cannot personally recommend this game until Embark fixes the cheater problem. Easy Anti-Cheat is a joke to the gaming community and can be easily bypassed. Just look at the many sites selling The Finals Hacks now and you see that this problem is only rising. Embark HAS NO SYSTEMS IN PLAY TO SPOT OR DETECT THESE CHEATERS. Embark will not punish those who use cheats because they don't know who is cheating.

The more you play, the easier it will be to find the cheater in the group, they may even be in your own party. If their cross-hair is snapping to a Target, or their aim is smoothly following a target the closer they get. once you see the signs you cannot unsee it. in Ranked there's at least one cheater per team but if you make it to The Finals chances are the Other Team is the cheaters.

I understand how this may make me sound, but play the game and PAY CLOSE ATTENTION. you'll see it!

It took me a while to meet The Finals. However, better later than never, and it was the best free game that I played this whole year 100%. It brings the FPS genre to a new peak with unique features, solid gun gameplay, astonishing visuals and a crazy good soundtrack.

The main thing I would like to point out is the map destruction feature. The idea of a game where you can change the situation you are in constantly, going from a close space to, after a few explosions, a completely open battlefield, is something I loved. It works amazingly well, mostly because everyone is not focused on killing but on winning the game by getting control points. It makes The Finals super fast-paced. Since every time you are not controlling the point, aka the "cash out", you are obviously losing points, making sure that every team is at the same time in the same place fighting.

Talking about fighting, as I referred to in the introduction, the gun gameplay feels solid. It has 3 different classes, opening the opportunity to different play styles and creativity. These classes bring special abilities that can be useful in either attacking or defending points. Useful, none feel broken, and fun to use.

The main problem that I detect in The Finals is that there are some weapons that I don't really see the point in being available, or at least not in their current state. For example, the sniper feels useless, mostly because it doesn't oneshoot unless you do a headshot. In a game where everyone is running and the map constantly changing... it's low rewarding taking into account the difficulty. On the other hand, there are weapons that are completely broken. I had a fun experience against flame throwers where it was impossible to get close to the point. Definitely is a game that still has to have some balance checks, but is a typical problem of online fighting games. There is a meta, in every patch the game changes.

Visually is marvelous, the color palettes used in the maps transmit a great feeling and completely send the same energy as the non-stop shooting. The soundtrack doesn't fall behind, hyping the games with the incredible techno playlist that I personally not just enjoyed but really fell in love with.

Definitely a game that I personally believe didn't have the attention that deserved. Delivers a fun and unique concept. It's time to gather some friends and have some fun!

The ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ balance and anti-cheat that I have ever seen

Listen, I love this game. Don't get me wrong. BUT ♥♥♥♥. FIX YOUR ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ GAME. I can not play this game without it crashing 45 TIMES. FIX THE ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ GAME. For a game that has been around for almost a year yall should have the basics figured out. Your game is so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ BLOATED, it just crashes. I love the game truly but ive been kicked out of upwards of 100 games. At least make it so you can RE JOIN YOUR MATCH. PLEASE. all other games tend to have this feature, I have no clue why not this ones. There's a bunch of smaller bugs and ♥♥♥♥ that are annoying but like fine things to deal with. but when I download a game I LOVE TO BE ABLE TO ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ PLAY IT. and honestly right now. its making it super hard. I have enough ram for
literally any other game. Please make it so you can rejoin your match... pls The game is great tho, gameplay is fun. I love the announcers, the aesthetic and people playing the game tend to be nice. I like how the game is an even playing field. No need to pay to play. fun cosmetics. everything is great. BUT PLEASE LET ME PLAY THE GAME WITHOUT IT CRASHING 45 TIMES AND PLEASE LET ME REJOIN A ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ MATCH. Thank you devs tho, ik you work hard. ;(

Another shooter which peaked at its initial release but ruined by horrid and out of touch balance changes. The overall performance of the game both in terms of servers and optimization has deteriorated since open beta.

It is still a decent shooter and developers almost understood the essence of why crutch abilities are detrimental to overall gameplay and removed recon senses (literal wall hacks) but have still kept some questionable abilities and encourage frustrating gameplay all for the sake of being more appealing to casual player base.

Stun mechanics in a fast paced game (taser, winch), total invisibility for a class with no decloak delay which is also very inconsistent, so either you may spot them or you won't depending on the map and time of the day. Buggy sound design. The enemy might be 50m away but for some reason the footsteps feel like they are below you or you won't even hear the footsteps if they are near you. Lingering melee weapon hitboxes so sometimes getting killed by them will feel like complete BS and then there are the nerfs.

There are barely any weapons left from season 1 which feels satisfying to use. They have kept changing the recoil on automatic weapons on a whim to make them more "skillful" but then buff a grenade launcher in a FPS and then again nerf it and make more balance changes because suddenly the 5 people on Reddit are angry. Nerfing an entire class (heavy) which is least played because it wins more matches while buffing the most played class (light) which discourages you from playing objective therefore wins least.

TLDR:
Making balance changes based on popularity will never work. People will always complain about light class, shotgun weapons, sniper, melee weapons due to their innate low skill requirement. No one likes being stunned and instantly killed by an invisible light with a shotgun or grabbed by a heavy and killed with a hammer. Your mechanical skill in meaning less when fighting against any of these cheesy tactics which can easily be abused because weapons which require mechanical skill are on the same level as crutch weapons. One feels more fair to be killed with (e.g. AKM) then the other (e.g. Model) and this is something they should work on.

Stun mechanics/invisibility has no place in this game and devs should rather try promoting normal gunplay. Adding random bloom to weapons is not the right way to balance them at all even while ADS'ing and can easily lead to annoyance nor is adding long winded animation/delay while deploying/using a gadget.
