Seems as if it was for "quick money", have heard that the developers just abandoned this game after a few updates. However there are still few players. Around 10 to 23ish on average.

Well, good thing is you can still play it, and do all the content they left and yes a few players and usually never "dead" in the game, not like you really need the players. For a few bucks, its pretty good. Sounds good too.

It's a good game, people play it, but unfortunately there is no more content on it. There are people who make good liveries or atmospheric videos, if life was breathed into this game again, I think it would again be full of players like before in the days of release

not every game needs lifetime updates like it's world of warcraft. You can still play it, enjoy it, and move on to something else. a lot of indie devs use steam to try out different things and their next game looks really promising and probably wouldn't be possible for them if they didn't try a few formulas out first.

A dead game has no matchmaking. That 1 fast and furious game was dead on arrival. Nobody could join lobby's because nobody played it

Well, it was also pulled from Steam within months, so it never really got a chance to do much of anything.

Unfortunately though, the game wasn't that great, so it probably never would've sold well.

Yea though, people do play this game and there's only one server, so while the population is low, the activeness of the game is actually pretty high.
