Is this game worth the 35-45 bucks? Dont wanna support greed.
hey, i am a loyal fan of the Yakuza/Lika a Dragon games, played almost every game (didnt play dead souls, lost judgement 2 and this one). i was massively dissapointed that sega decided to put greed as their first priority (anyone who doesnt know, they put the new game + behind a paywall), the moment they gained more fame with this title. so i was a bit hestitant and didnt buy the game on day one, it also bothered me that the setting was not komurocho. i am still not sure, i got like 10 days left till i start working again. so how good is the game? the reviews are extremly positive but that goes for almost every game in this franchise. i am 100% sure if i wait another year this game will be sold for 10-15 bucks. i also want to voice my opinion towards the developer, that there are people like me, who will buy the games they love but they will not support greed and while the companies earn 5-10 bucks more with fomo, they will lose 50 or more on some people like me.

this is actually one of the main games in the series, cant spoile you the plot, but it is an important game.
If you are a loyal one, you may like it.

If you liked the previous games then yeah this is great - And to be fair do you really need NG+...? I just bought the base version and i dont really care about NG+...

The real question is: Have you used NG+ in the previous games and feel like you can't live without it?

It's a solid entry. They improved the gameplay from Like A Dragon in every way, but the story is a bit all over the place and the substories are quite "haven't we seen this before?".

NG+ is also very much an afterthought since you're able to soft-lock yourself early on if you didn't level up the right job or upgrade the right equipment during your first playthrough, so you're not missing much by not giving into greed.

i will be honest with this, i dont replay yakuza games, but i find the practice scummy. its the same like not supporting scummy developers who aim for any kind of left/right agendas, scams or just plain old greed like this. i will probably wait a bit more, and it was never about the money, not for me. but thank you for your feedback.

Buy Deluxe on sale like I have and you will have all the DLC that is "important". I find the game funny and entertaining. I am happy with my purchase.
imo it its worth 70$ cause its content and new place (hawaii) + special dondoko island. Just dont buy the dlc.
