Sewon is Overpowered
From all my fighting encounters, Sewon was the least popular character out of the list. Despite the fact of his lack of armor and hp, at the hands of a professional, he is somewhat like a god. In a one vs one situation, he's able to basically parry almost every attacks 90% of the time successfully and then punish them back. Not to mention, his JLL is similar to Renoah's JL but you get kicked twice in the face with a huge stun lock >:D. And his Vajra shift ability is even more insane. It's spammability its off the chart. So what do you think guys? For Casual players using Sewon, I wouldn't recommend it since you'll get raped, but in the hand of a professional, you'll feel the monstrosity of this black man.

I guess if he spams his jump moves he can be pretty good, but his ground attacks have such long end frames and short range that most characters can punish him if he misses. His shift is in no way great since it only allows him to counter maybe 4 moves and that is if they try to continue the combo after missing, and a couple of those moves no experienced player uses cause they can be punished even just being blocked. It usually just takes up more sp than blocking the attack would. I use his shift mainly to try and get out of combos and keep moving. His shift also puts him open if he uses it too soon or if you try to predict an attack that doesn't happen since the invincible frames end before he can move, attack, or even block. His JLL misses the first L over many characters, and if you delay it you wont be able to get the second L off. I don't use sewon that often, but I do enjoy him when I do play him most of the time. Only time when I don't is when facing you Shinji, or Scrag, which his openings appear a lot more often.

You'll have to show me sometime, though you are better than me at reading people and knowing what they are about to do.

The way they use sublimal messages like the way Dan Mei is holding his sword is a problem.
Its a cross shape infront of the Illuminati sign on his chest.

he's balanced now since he actually need one rp to channel an aoe hit stun to stop ganks.
sewon still lack mobility and fail at catching up with people.

Even though I recently said he needed a buff. I take that back. He needs a nerf. His JLL needs to be delt with. His JR needs to not hit people in the air. His Vajra stance needs a retooling. Maybe make it more of a parry and less of a sidestep. But give it a lot of endframes if it misses, and make it use half his SP. If it hits maybe give it launcher properties or alow it to combo into LR. There are some things that will need a buff in the event his air game is nerfed. Like his R, the super armor should last until he drops his ki ball not right before but the startframes need to be longer on the regular attack.. This would make Alt+R actually usefull in a 1v1 situation and would make people back off of him more when they see it, but you might need to turn off the reduced damage sort of like Dan's R. He also needs an LLR. Not much to buff.

LOL I mained sewon for the longest time and people would ask why I was playing sewon before I murdered them.
Taimatsu 26. apr. 2014 kl. 5:51
OMG Sewon OP thread. You know he had the longest carreer of being the most underpowered char if you guys played bakc in the old days~! So yeah he needed this so this is hardly a surprise considering most of the new cats playing this game now.

I've been playing sewon exclusively, and he is an absolute god if you fight well in a 1v1 situation, BUT TO COUNTERACT THIS: Sewon has no gapclosers, just move speed, ranged absolutely makes his life hell, he relys on getting his combos off while your close and connecting his moves, also he only excels in fights of 1v1 and duels, put him in the middle of a teamfight and all he can do is his alt right click a few times then hope to stun someone, but if he gets hit, he is so easy to kill as he's a lot more squishy than other heroes. Sewon is absolutely not overpowered, he's just extremely strong when the situation arises.

He is just as good in teamfights.

Sewon would be good if his shift was a counter.

Otherwise he's pretty much the worse character in the game atm.

his combo is pretty small in area, but good damage. his alt+R is great and his JR is meh.

But really......he's awful in teamfights.

He can't take that many hits, he has no range no real regen in combat outside of health-swap(which needs to be channeled).

1v1`, sewon's ok. 2v2 or higher? I'd rather have another melee instead. The guy just doesn't give the utility in teamfights.

If Sewon is op then every other characters are straight up hacking.
Strange 2. maj 2014 kl. 14:33
His health swap is op now. I can see it being nerfed in the future, prolly less super armor time at the end.
Achiel 2. maj 2014 kl. 14:48
Well Godzilla, they could work his Shift to be the same, BUT. If someone hits you during it, their attack bounces off Sewon's Vajra form and leaves them staggered for a little bit.

But right now, he's actually pretty strong. In my opinion.
