What do gamers who own Fireburst think about it?
I wishlisted it, and am considering buying it. I'd love the opinion of someone who paid for the game.

I bought it on day 1. Honestly, I thought it was pretty terrible. The handling was bad, the track design was meh, and just wasn't a fun game for me.

I like P.A.M. even though its not a great game.

I picked up both pam and this during the sale. Neither game is steller; but between the two I would go with pam. I've only put in about 35 minutes into Fireburst and the graphics are really nice; but the gameplay isn't great due to poor handling and odd single player race win conditions.

Firebust is really fun , if your bored and not into heavy thinking/shooting etc. It's a game to pass your time with some WOOHOO....

Playing Fireburst reminds me a little of Ratbag Games' Powerslide. The handling of the vehicles is far from realistic, but you get used to it quickly. There are a lot of good looking tracks... I recommend disabling motion blur in the ini file (it's waaay overdone).

I've played a lot of racing games similar to this one, and it doesn't stand out as great... but it's worth the asking price, I think. The challenges give a lot of variety (don't hit barrels or avoid water for X seconds or use Fireburst for X seconds while killing X vehicles), and the "combat" is simple. Your turbo is your only weapon... it leaves a trail of fire behind you or it destroys the cars you come in contact with. I prefer it simple like this.

The difficulty is absolutely punishing. I can't even complete the second "intro" race where you have to get 20 seconds of air time. The advanced graphic options are non-existant (well.. it pops up the unreal ini file.. but seriosuly.. who doesn't provide some kind of damned interface for setting these?). PAM is leagues above this game in terms of quality.

Glad I'm not the only person who has played Powerslide.
not bad , but for me it's feel like a cheap clone of motorstorm ...

The game looks really nice, kinda like Motorstorm (Ps3) and the characters are comical and endearing (better than anonymous drones drivers). The problem is the game hasn't any bot support for multiplayer, which itself is only a one-off-race 'versus' affair. So the game is purely for single-player with the option to race a couple of friends on sparsely populated tracks -- no fun.

The game had potential but was seemingly / sadly abandoned shortly after release so no feedback and suggestions could be implemented.
