Why there is no "new" time-limited gacha?

Is anyone else dealing with daily downloads every time they open the game? It's super annoying because not only does it download files (which don’t seem to do anything), but after they finish and I start playing, the game freezes up and I can’t do anything. 🤦‍♂️ This seems to happen every day, and my internet is fine, so I have no idea why. Is anyone else experiencing the same thing? Any ideas on how to fix it or stop these pointless downloads?...

"Please try logging in again later." Tried both servers on the list, "Taurus" and "Server 01". It's been two hours. I'm losing battle and click energy, and I need to sleep soonish. This game's event timers and resource budgets are tight enough that any server issue has significant in-game costs and consequences....
