i have a problem starting Red Faction up

can anyone help me with this issue? i don't know what to do
it keeps saying whenever i press on Play: 'the system cannot find the file specified'

is it even patched with Dash Faction 1.80 ? Verify cache files beforehand if it has missing files, then patch it. Don't run the game on vanilla.

and how do i verify the cache files? sorry i never done that before

You can right click on Red Faction in your Steam library, go to Properties, then Installed Files, and click the "Verify integrity of game files" button.

After that, be sure to install the Dash Faction patch: https://dashfaction.com
