I wish they would make a sequel to this...
There really isn't enough western shooters out there that manage to capture the simple but fun and challenging concept that CoJ: Gunslinger does. It's either full on second life stuff like RDR2 or crappy VR games with roblox graphics.

Anyone know anything out there that's similar to this?

There were 4 titles in the 'Call Of Juarez' series. Have you played all of them?

No, I only played Gunslinger. I heard going back to the earlier games was a bad idea if you started with Gunslinger lol
Depends on what you're looking for... graphics, or the story. I'm a graphics guy, spoiled by graphics. If I start in the middle of a series, it's very very rare I will go back and play the earlier games just because the graphics will look so much worse than what I've just seen (and therefore am used to).

However, if you're a story guy, some of those earlier games have good stories. (And maybe a few spoilers).

A secuel would be awesome. This game is really good and, as you told, western games are not so abundant.

Please make it happen ^_^

Agreed
Hm maybe a new character new story and new setting hopefully without cell shading and stronger art direction. This one is my most favourite COJ(please don't mention the one abomination that came out of the COJ franchise).

BUTTTTT with such a good gameplay as this one has.
Gameplay with is the strongest in this one and story was told in a unique and funny way.

Bound in blood is way better imo then gunslinger. Gunslinger plays like a western cod game where as bound in blood is slowish and methodical. It has a nice shoot from cover mechanic too. i would advise getting the realism mod for it though.

I played Bound in Blood aswell but I wouldn't compare Gunslinger to CoD.
It played more like a decent shooter with DmC mechanics.

i played bound in blood and loved it but this is just such an upgrade. I've finished it 3 times now :( i hope they make a sequel. imagine an open world like this, it would be frekkin' awesome.

Reminds me of the old Railgun games except in better. Bound in Blood was good already but this one just upped the game. I can't even recall how often I played through this game and just for all the Achievements I went through the duels again.

(Quick tip just for fun if you turn down your graphics you will have way faster loading put the game on an SSD and your loading will be just a matter of seconds)
