I really hate to say that I don't recommend this game. The pixel art is crazy stupid good in this and it's very nostalgic of early japanese games. I researched and found that the developer Lizsoft was a doujin company or basically it's like a fan-made game? There was a name mentioned in the credits who seemed to have done the majority of the work, but I couldn't find anything about that person online.

The game falls short in the controls, it just doesn't feel responsive enough. However, I could forgive that and the fact that the game basically dies if you're in full screen mode and tab out. Windowed mode is perfectly find, however. Those are minor inconveniences. The real warcrime here is that the levels are very maze-like and the flying enemies take forever to kill. If I had a player's guide magazine of this game with maps and stuff it would probably make it a lot more fun to play, but as it stands. I think fighting the same enemy types over and over again really drains the fun factor out of it.

I'll tuck this one away for a rainy day as I plan to get to it someday. But I can't recommend it for the go-to game/use of your time.
