[18-11-2021] PC Patch Notes for patch Tomb Raider, build 838.
We have just released a PC patch for Tomb Raider, build 838.

This patch will be applied by Steam automatically when you next start the game. If your game does not update, please restart the Steam client.

This is an update of the previous patch 829.0, reintroducing the features added in that patch while avoiding the issues reported by players after the last release.

Fixes included in this patch
  • Fixed an issue with offline mode
  • Updates to multiplayer infrastructure to use Epic Online Services. Use of an Epic account is entirely optional.

Epic and Steam account linking and crossplay.

1) If you’ve never linked your Steam and Epic accounts, you can launch and play Tomb Raider through Steam just as you always could.

2) If you have previously linked your Steam and Epic accounts the game will not automatically use your linked account. If you wish make use of your linked accounts, please enable the feature from the options menu>>multiplayer.

3) You can unlink your Steam account via your Epic account settings, or disable the use of it from the in-game menu.

We will keep monitoring for feedback and will release further patches as it seems required. We always welcome your feedback!

The previous build has been made available through a Steam beta branch. Build743.

Tested offline mode, seems to be working now. I'm probably going to keep this game in offline mode due to privacy concerns.

743 is not the previous build, it's much older. Where is build 748?

after the last patch, the game has a lot more problems in multiplayer than it was
before you can even play it now crashes on level ground, it is impossible to play until the end, and if lucky to boot then immediately does not work mouse, you have to change the screen resolution to another to make it work
when raising ammunition/boxes on the screen there is a black spot which disappears after a few seconds, also the shadows behave inappropriately, the screen becomes lighter or darker as she wants at any interval
the game can break at any moment and give out a technical victory, although in fact only I was thrown out and when I try to find a lobby with players so as not to be alone there, I see my clone who, as it were, remained in the game from which I was thrown
out
I ask you to do something about it

Yes. I have experienced all of this since the update. I also have to start a MP match, let it start, I will then see my mouse pointer on the screen and my mouse doesn't move my character, so I then exit match and start a new one. Doing this works. I have to do this for the first match every time on a new game launch.

When I played this game since it was patched, the game's HUD looked screwed up. How do I fix it?

I can confirm that the mouse pointer issue on MP is fixed by changing the resolution and then changing it back.

Whatever was in this update seems to have messed with the notification popups on the HUD in singleplayer too. The various popups are off in the corners of the screen and mostly offscreen, making it difficult to know when something happened or what to press.
