I just credit-fed a full clear of Twin Cobra and got three achievements:

- “Defeat Twin Cobra End Boss”
- “Defeat Twin Cobra End Boss Wihtout assistance” (yes it is spelled wrong on Steam)
- “Defeat Kyuukyoku Tiger End Boss without assistance”

Ideally i’d have received nothing, but i guess #1 is fine on paper. And obviously it’s annoying I received #3 as a bug. Bur #2, man: why even have separate assistance / no assistance categories for every boss in every one of these ports if save states and continues don’t count as assistance? I’d be willing to bet i could use save states and receive the 1CC achievements here, so why even include them at all?

This applies to all these Toaplan ports which are otherwise mostly excellent. Smart to have these assist features but it gimps all these lists for every title. Sure, who cares, 1CCs are antithetical to all this stuff anyway, but it’s one of the only reasons to play these games here instead of elsewhere.
