Great game. I tried it very late but it shows quality in everything. Easily one of the most easy to play Total War games with simple to get into, but hard to master to perfection mechanics.

Online is much more elaborate compared to previous titles.

My few gripe includes achievements which you can only unlock if you buy additional DLC's. There's also kind of a gimmick with leveling your avatar when playing online.

Other than that everything seems very reasonable.

Total War Shogun 2 is perhaps the best Total War series in the Historical Total War setting. The most polished Total War, Challenging End Game , Great Expansion/DLC (Fall of the samurai), Great Voice acting that makes this game feels alive. I've played this game back on 2018 and relieving the nostalgia it's even better than i thought it would be. In Almost every strategy game The problem with Late-Game is that no one is as Strong as you and you can just mow down every enemies but in here? absolutely not.

Many would Dislike Realm Divide system because every Diplomacy is gone out of the window after this events comes, but for me it gives a challenge to the player that if you're unprepared before it comes then you might even lost the game. Before such thing happens you must prepare your economy, buildings, Armies and technology to prepare all might of Daimyos coming at you.

I like the General Speech and the voice acting on the battlefield every old total war has this and its sad that such thing doesn't appear later on the series. it might be a minor thing but one small thing can matter the most.

For everyone new on the Series i would suggest to not try this as your First Total War game due to the Realm Divide mechanic it makes you have to take this slowly. i would suggest try RTW 2 or the Remastered ones cause that allows you to fully "Total War" the game as in Shogun 2 every move you make can either be the death of your clan or be a path towards victory. this game is easy to understand but hard to master.

Shogun 2 improves on the greatness of the first.
Clan management gives opportunity for RP and fun building options (and cute units).
