Game failing to launch - Persistent problem
I have a persistent issue with the game where, on opening, it gets to the initial load screen for the main menu, but freezes on blue before the loading bar appears.

I've found a workaround which is to disable the Hippospace DLC, then re-enable it, and it'll load. But the very next time I launch, it does the same again.

Happy to provide logs etc. to help troubleshoot this.

Please try these troubleshooting steps for now and report back if any of them fixed the game for you :smileduck::
1. Restart your device
2. Verify your game files (go in yout steam library > right click the game > properties > installed files > then find the ,,verify integrity of the game files" option and let it do its thing for a little and retry the game
3. Uninstall and reinstall the game and retry

Hi!

1. Yup, have restarted plenty of times
2. All 81 files were verified successfully. Still won't launch
3. Did a full reinstall. Launched the first time, then failed to launch the next time

Oh no, that's not good. :sad_seagull: A player log file might be needed. Is it possible to create a ticket in the official discord server for ppds https://discord.gg/placid-plastic-ducks-991288138649583636 so it is easier to send the log file and even footage of the bug? That way would be fastest to identify the possible cause, and steam does not allow file sharing unless you have another way in mind!

Hey! So, I'm still getting frequent issues launching the game, but verifying the game files is now at least allowing the game to launch each time.

Not sure what's going on behind the scenes with the game, but I'll start investigating in the Discord soon

After investigations by the devs is doing a clean reinstall and installing the game again seems to be the fix
But if able to please do send in your player log ane player prev files on the discord

So, I think it's the Steam overlay. I've done a full reinstall, and after launching once and closing, the next launch failed. The one thing I noticed was the usual Steam popup in the corner didn't show before it failed to load the main menu.

I've disabled the Steam overlay in the game properties, and now it boots each time.

I'll drop into the Discord and provide logs.
