Very enjoyable action-adventure that does most things right and only stumble slightly, seriously did it really need that many different kinds of collectables? Pretty good puzzles, alright combat system, cute graphics, all in all a very good Zelda-like, as long as you dont't feel compelled to complete games, because there are way too many things you need to do, collect and so on for that, or if that sounds like a good thing for you? Go nuts, you probably love the game even more. For me the main story and the odd side quest here and there was more than enough for me, i just never felt the need to find all bugs, fish, butterflies, decorative objects, recipies, beastiary, hats, drawings... It's definitly a bit content bloat, at least for me. Then again, you might love it so take this critiqce with a pinch of salt.

The endgame was also a bit annoying because there are several sidequests that are not sidequests at all, but in fact vital to unlock the last part of the game.

Ogu and the Secret Forest, at first, was extremely enjoyable. I loved the puzzles. Unfortunately, every.single.thing. outside of that, from fishing to crafting, has nigh on super frustrating and stressful mini games. I did try my best to stick with it--but this is one of those games that is intentionally vague and willy nilly on purpose and that's just not my game style. Can't return it, alas.

Example of what I mean: To make pottery, you are given a GIANT wheel of all sorts of random shapes. You have EIGHT SECONDS to find the pottery shape a villager wants--as the ENTIRE WHEEL spins--and if the wheel goes red, you MUST stop moving or you get ruined pottery. You get a few more seconds to desperately try and re-find the shape.

To cook, via controller, you'll need to have great reflexes from playing rhythm games--which I do not--because you use both rb and lb and must time it exact for at least something of quality.

To fish, you have less than a second or two to time your net swing to the fish's sparkle or you lose the fish.

This game is probably perfect for those that LOVE, love, love challenges. And all power to them! But if you don't have lightening fast reflexes or perfect timing--good luck trying to do the "relaxing" fishing and cooking in game.

I'm old yo. I don't need or want to spend three hours getting increasing frustrated because I cannot time hitting my button perfectly for a fish.

For those with hand-eye coordination issues or limited hand mobility, I don't know if this game will work for you, it's unfriendly in that area.

For the casual and cozy gamers: this one might not be it.

No, with apologies to the developers and creators of this game. I know you worked hard, and I appreciate that--but not all games are for all people, and people like me, well. It's just not my personal vibe.
