Digital acid trip

Wanted: Dead is a game like no other, by which I mean that nothing works like in literally every single other game. Most of the default MnK bindings are stupid and unintuitive. Just navigating through menus was already annoying because "esc" would not go back one screen and instead "backspace" button needed to be used. During gameplay "esc" doesn't open a pause menu. While game looks good, cutscenes are blurry af on a 4K screen. Main character's voice acting just doesn't fit. Overall the first 15min made sure I didn't want to see the rest of the game.

Got it on sale, wish I didn't get it at all. This game, being only 5 or so levels long, is a complete slog to get through. The only redeeming quality of the combat are the finishing moves, which get old pretty quick. It feels like they wanted to make a typical third-person shooter but decided last minute to include melee combat. The literal selling point of the game feels like an afterthought. You're constantly being lit up from five other angles while trying to have a sword fight, and you can't even engage in melee properly because your target breaks out of strings for no clear reason. I've got a TON of thoughts about my experience, but to keep it short, I wouldn't waste my time on it no matter how heavy the discount.
