I stopped caring and my hype has evaporated. At this point, damn near a safe bet to throw money on "Dev bailed for whatever reason".

is a dev supposed to work on one project for the rest of their life and never be allowed to move on to something different?

I'm waiting, but I'm very satisfied with the content that currently exists in the game. I feel I definitely got my money's worth and I'm excited to see what comes next.

I see the point you're trying to make, however, I believe the majority would find that the game feels woefully incomplete. Instead of working to fully flesh out and complete this game, the dev decided to work on a spin-off.

It strikes me as unprofessional to, for all intents and purposes, bail on a game. Folks have been patiently waiting for nearly 5 months with little to no interaction from flanne.

The game seems complete to me , felt done for awhile actually but we kept getting a extra characters and weapons and free updates.

Not sure what people were expecting , not every game is going to be like vampire survivors and keep releasing and adding DLCs and stuff , I wish it would but I can accept that it isn't.

I don't know what the promised updates you are even talking about are , where do you see those ? I don't use the discord so I might be out of the loop.

Either way I feel like the game is in a good spot currently, I feel like I got my money's worth out of it and if another game is made that would be cool, having it be a new game would mean they can try new things that the current game engine might be limiting them on.

I've played most of the survivor type games , this one might not have as many levels as others but the game play is solid , you can try a bunch of different builds and get way more than 5 dollars worth of entertainment out of it. I think it's fine , maybe the dev overpromised and that has come back to bite them but I would not say "majority would find the game feels woefully incomplete" not at all.

According to that March 14th post, the last one before scooting off to the unknown. Dude laid out his plans, new artwork, reworks......updates that are sorely needed.

The game is in need of work. It's 2.9/5 as is. With actual work and care, it has potential to be 4.8/5.

When(if?) it happens, it'll be extra awesome then, not now. I had fun even with earlier versions, so I won't say bad/unfinished game if the update doesn't come.

How much of it is the game lacking and how much is enough not existing?

I got this game for the price of half a big mac and i have put 40+ hours into this game. For me it was worth it. Is the game perfect ? No, but its a solid 7/10 for me. If it gets more updates, great, but if it doesn't, its ok I have already gotten enough entertainment out of it.

I am still waiting for the update they announced back in March, unless it came out and I missed it.

Ditto. Pretty sure its abandoned :/

Dev takes a long time to release updates. IIRC the last update took 9+ months to appear.

Sucks cause it looked cool and I had fun for the first 30 mins.

As a player who's had the game for a long time - it was in a great state before, and I thought it was complete then. I've come back to find many additional characters, weapons, and options - it's in a great state now too.

More content is always appreciated, but let's not pretend the game isn't in a good state at the current moment: it's sure seems like it is - and it was great before, too.
