Are you playing on controller ? I got the same issue, gonna have to make a turbo button that auto repeats.

Same here. I play it with XBox One Controller on Steam Deck. I figured out that sometimes if I press the trigger only once (short shot) it still empties the full ammo clip. This is annoying since this prevent me from moving or evading enemies. I died because of this multiple times.

But I figured out (as a workaround) that you can also use RB (right button) instead of RT (right trigger). The problem did not occur using RB. But it is little unfamiliar pressing it all the time.

But I think the controls problem goes further since sometimes I can move my "cursor" selection somewhere I cannot see ... this applies for all menus. If you pause the game, go down with your analog stick and you will leave the menus at all.

i'm getting this glitch constantly right out of the gate. can't beat the first level because of it
