"an error occured"
i have tried joining my friend, and inviting him (me and him being on vanilla) but it keeps coming up with the error on the side of the person joining. pls help

Try verifying the game files, as well, both of ya.

could possibly be that one of you launched the game from steam while the other launched it from a modding app like thunder store? things like this tend to happen when one person has mods installed while the other is completely vanilla

otherwise i have no clue at all
