I dont know mate. I see it like real rally. If no marshall see it or a lot of others using it as well, it is okay to use it. Pointed on the game, if the developer allowes it, why not.
And at least it is part of rally, search your own fastest route (Rally Dakar "through desert", old timer rallys, etc. etc.).
That is also the sense were rally orignally comes of. But i get your feeling. Probably the other Teams in real life WRC felt like that, when all get betrayeled by toyata GT Four Cheat.
It is just part of Motorsport on a certain way.
Search for your "hopefully" unique benefit, like a tyre change strategy or even use a specific cut.
