I feel this is easily the best wuxia game on Steam. It surpasses Wandering Sword through sheer variety to start with and then just keeps chugging along.

Getting this out of the way, the translation is middling at best, but it is consistent and if you play it you quickly learn the "patter" of the world. Some things like the riddle quests are definitely geared towards a Chinese audience with Chinese cultural education, but I am not in anyway surprised they haven't converted that large amount of content into English equivalents. I never felt lost by the story or the events. It did take me a while to accept that "run away" just means leave the area and "banish" is the nudge feature or used to ask a party member to leave.

The factions are fascinating entities with their own fun paths, and there are so many ways to play with their own fun paths. The meta progression (when you unlock achievements, they are tied to perks in both your current playthrough and can unlock from start in future playthroughs). Lots of places to visit, big cities with their own characteristics for engaging you while still keeping the areas that drive the quests an economy familiar by visual shorthand. Tons of recruitable characters and a neat home base mechanic (where progress is ALSO metaprogression!).

4 major endings off the top of my head and high replay value. A really great time with this RPG. The worst I can say that bothers me any is that the main character is locked into only one appearance (yes, you can choose from a happy front facing portrait and serious angled portrait, but it is still one apperance).
