what's the The Curse of the Taoist? I've never gotten any -20 accuracy debuffs before

I'm not exactly sure which Curse are you referring to. If you're talking about the fortune teller/Wandering Taoist in Lin'an market, I had 13+ Luck and received a blessing from him instead, obtaining the trait of Immunity to Bleeding permanently. But I have not done enough tries on him to know if 13+ Luck would consistently receive a blessing from him.

That the guy who tries to extort you, saying great misfortune will befall you if you don't pay him 5 (or is it 10?)? Because I always ignore him if he talks to me at all, sometimes I get a temporary debuff after a few days that lasts a few days (hurt back or something) and sometimes nothing happens at all. If luck has anything to do with it its part of a random chance.

If you pay him, he gives you the Bleed Immunity Trait. If you refuse I think you can get the Accuracy Debuff, sprain your back and become Heavily Wounded for 7 days, or nothing at all. I think its based on your luck.

Well, I just learned something new lol. I always ignored him n nothing happened. Didn't know it was luck-based and thought he was just a scammer.

i noramlly ignore him, then pay the 5000 when i have the funds, making funds is not hard.

enter one of the betting places.
stand next to a table with full mp, over 500mp. use an accessory to boost if needed. save the game.
place 1K on the table pick 11+ win.
change dice with mp, to 11 or 11+, win 4 to 5 in a row clame your 15K+ prize, table close for 3 days move on to the next table., rest over night as needed . clear out the casino, do the first 2 or 3 level of the arena..... clame the home stead..... carry on with your game life as needed.
