We are happy to bring you the latest, and largest, patch for Chapter 2! This should fix a majority of reported problems, bring in more quality of life improvements, and fix the lingering achievement issues players have run into.

We encourage you to continue sharing your thoughts with us so we can continue to improve the game where we can.

[STEAM ONLY]
Users have the option of using the DirectX 12 mode for Retribution; however, this is a late production cycle feature, so it may not work perfectly with all PC configurations. We encourage players to manually change from DirectX 11 to 12 and see how the game performs. Our tests showed significant improvement in some cases, but it is heavily depending on your current hardware configuration, so results may vary from system to system. To adjust the DirectX setting, put “-dx12” into the Steam app launch parameters.

Critical Fixes
-All Achievements are now properly unlockable.
-PROGRESSION BLOCKER FIX - Players who died in Speakeasy AFTER completing the optional mission during “His Will Be Done” will no longer be stuck.
-PROGRESSION BLOCKER FIX - Players who left the area before completing the “Hunting the Hunter” mission will no longer be stuck.
-Escape moment at the end of “Off on the Wrong Foot” improved.

Quality of Life Improvements
-Floating flare at the front of the bus in The Resting Place map has been removed.
-Barks during “Hunting the Hunter” combat have been tuned.
-[LOCALIZATION] Subtitles for Walkie-Talkie now translated.
-[LOCALIZATION] Wording on the whiteboard of tutorial is no longer truncated.
-Difficulty mode can now be changed via the pause menu.
-Fully reloading sawed-off shotgun missing only one bullet now possible.
-Grenades are easier to pick up.
-Fixed some collision issues on maps during “Bigger Fish to Fry” mission.
-Journal task update fanfare will now trigger consistently.

General Visual Fixes
-Removed some visual artifacts.
-Fixed floating locker in Rampart.
-Fixed some countertops being blacked out.
-Fixed some disappearing buildings in Tower Approach.
-Improved texture assets in areas.
-Fixed a few “out of world” visibility areas.
-Fixed posters incorrectly positioned.
-Beretta and M4 muzzle flash with suppressor added.
-Floating unnecessary UV cats reduced.
-Placeholder decals replaced.
-Fixed the disappearing assets in some cases.
-Improved elevator doors animation.

Character Visual Improvements
-Reduced NPC models breaking.
-Dismembered NPCs visuals improved.
-Bad walker severing visual artifacts reduced.
-Floating heads next to NPCs removed.
-Dead bodies in hotel no longer completely blacked out.

Lighting Improvements
-Improved interior lighting in areas
-Updated Pawnshop and Speakeasy with Godrays
-Fixed some flashlight shadows
-Adjusted fog effects on maps

Hello Tourists!

We have another set of hot fixes coming out today for Retribution! For PC players, this should take care of some recent problems you might be running into.

The specifics are listed below!

• Oculus players using Virtual Desktop and Pico will be able to launch on SteamVR
  
• Angel Statues no longer missing from imported save games

• Performance improvements for some configurations

Hello again, Tourists!

The wait is finally over. The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners - Chapter 2: Retribution is now live on Steam, and now you can continue your Tourist's journey as you face off against The Axeman and the Tower.

Alongside the base game, you can pick up the Payback Edition to receive "The Blessing" Weapon Recipe, the "Fat Tuesday" Weapon Recipe, the Demon Storage Shelf and 10 Collectable Postcard.

A Bundle of both Chapter 1 and Chapter 2, including their Tourist and Payback upgrades, will also be arriving soon!

The March 21st release date for the PCVR/PSVR2 versions of Retribution is rapidly approaching, and we are hard at work making sure everything is ready for that date. To give you a peak at some of the visual enhancements coming with these launches, check out the following action packed trailer!

With the release of The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners - Chapter 2: Retribution on Meta Headsets, and the launch date announced for PSVR2, players on PC have been waiting to hear news on when the PCVR version of the game would officially launch. We always try to get games in your hands as fast as possible, but sometimes we need to take our time to make sure that your game will work properly and fully utilize the features of your platform of choice. To ensure that the PCVR version of the game looks and runs at the highest possible quality, we've made the decision to move its release from December 2022 to February 2023. We discussed this some days ago, but we should have posted here as well, so sorry for the last minute nature of this post.
