ok so there I was sitting in under a cliff, with a fire next to me, eating coconuts and throwing the husks in the fire for kindling feasting on the delicious coconut milk and flesh, fending off the beasts that wanted to eat me, never before have I been so immersed in a VR game, the developer has done a wonderful job so far.

so far, I've encountered a couple things that made me angry though:

THE DAY/NIGHT CYCLE IS TOO SHORT!!! you can barely go collect and eat a coconut before it goes completely dark, we need significantly more time, like 5 times the current amount of time to be able to collect supplies and food and do a bit of exploring.

I lost tracking quite frequently while playing this game for some reason, happens sometimes, but for some reason it happened a lot to me when crouching/looking down in this game.

a chest was stuck closed at night, i tried everything to open it but it wouldn't open and I died.

Fires burn out too fast.

Cant attack tazzy tigers with a flaming stick, tried it, didn't work.

can't light dead trees on fire.

Night time just makes the screen go black, no moonlight? no basic night vision like any human being has?

the game is very unforgiving which for a game like this doesnt seem right.

unable to climb trees for safety or make a treehouse.

I played the game for an hour maybe and grew tired of playing it, it has massive potential and was worth a try, but its not something I would recommend buying if your after a decent playthrough of a game, it feels like a tech demo of what could be a pretty great game.

I'm very much looking forward to playing it again once its fleshed out a bit more, would love to be able to play it with friends,

some graphics options would be nice, I hated the blurriness in the distance, lods were good though.

hopefully the devs keep going and dont just cash grab like all the other vr devs.

It only took me two in-game nights to realize I could surround myself in burning sticks to avoid the enemies and about an hour to realize how repetitive the gameplay loop is.

I got bored really fast because I never had enough time to explore. Once it became daylight, I didn't make it far before I had to gather materials to build another fire.

The physics are really good, but other than that, I can't really recommend this game in it's current state. It needs way more content and balancing changes.

My opinion:
It's very bare-bones right now, but what's there is really good!

First of all I think it looks great, which I find few VR games do.
Great immersion! Nights are truly terrifying when fending off predators with nothing but a very-slow-to-reload-singleshot flintlock (you need to pour gunpowder then and drop a ball in the barrel) and a burning stick. My heart was pounding after intense nights.
Basic stuff all feels fun to do. Gathering wood for a campfire, opening coconuts (love peeling off the outer shell), reloading etc.

Beyond the beach it feels pretty empty and a bit dull, but the game is in an early stage. Some objects are janky and bug out etc.
Would like if sticks where a bit lighter when use them as a torch. Feels way too heavy and unwieldly. Day-night cycle could be a bit longer and more forgiving.

All in all, it's one of those select few VR games that made me go "wooow" while playing, more than once! Highly recommend it but know that you're basically playing a tech demo for now.
Very excited to see this game get fleshed out! :)
