This is the longest I have played a game that I hate, trying and trying to like it until the game reminds me once again that it doesn't want me to.

Darkest Dungeon 1 is a masterpiece of a game i have over 130 hours on it i wouldn't call darkest dungeon 2 a perfect sequel but it's interesting to keep you around long enough in order to beat it or get close at least.

I really wanted to make a little "scream of the soul". Therefore, here I would like to describe my last run in this "wonderful" game.
To begin with, I will point out that in this game you need to make a full run to complete it, which usually lasts several hours.
and now, after another lost battle, I wanted to write a little revelation.
Everything started out great, I finally made a full-fledged team that was supposed to defeat the boss of this mission (for the 4th attempt).
To my surprise, everything went smoothly, there was not a single situation where I could really lose, and I even allowed myself to attack mini-bosses, a meeting with which, for me before, also ended in a restart, but not this time, the group seemed so comfortable and strong that I did not even feel the danger.
passing road after road, I was luckier than ever, I received very strong treasures that made my pack even stronger.
but that's not all, experts know that there is a system of relationships here (in short, if everything is in order, you get strong buffs, if not - debuffs).
This was the first time I was able to pump everyone almost to the maximum, which, taking into account all the randomness, shocked me.
And so, I reached such an uber-group before the last region before the final boss, and it would seem that what could go wrong?
I met my night terror from the first part, named Ttmanik.
I still can't forget my emotions when I was suffocating my characters because of the disgusting mechanics of the boss, but in part 2, they didn't do much better, on the contrary, they were able to distort what was disgusting even more.
I think it should be explained in more detail, at the beginning of the battle, this not good creature definitely shuffles the team, and if you are not ready for this, then you will have to spend at least a whole round to return everyone to their places.
But it's not that scary, the boss only attacks once per round, and usually the last one, but what kind of attack is this?
The attacks themselves don't deal much damage, but they always attack the entire group, and what's worse, they inflict strong effects that you simply won't have time to heal.
However, the scariest thing here is that he summons minions to help him, and it would seem, what's the point? There have been bosses before who summoned other monsters, but our Dark One stood out here too.
He will summon them at the end of each round, meaning it's simply not profitable to kill them, and you need to aim at the boss... This is of course correct, but that's how it would work for a normal game.
Monsters, after each attack, simply receive horse buffs, which is why after a few rounds, they will deal more damage than the boss himself.
In this case, you may need to kill them quickly, and then attack the boss, who will attack last anyway. At least that's how it worked in the first part, but the brilliant developers decided to show their talent.
The minions, with 19 hp each (and for this game, this is quite a lot), you need to try very hard to kill two of them, and also find time to beat the boss himself, who, I remind you, stacks effects with each attack, which become a big problem, because the characters are aimed at destroying the minions and attacking the boss himself, so there is simply no time to dodge here.
BUT, it is in this part that new, brilliant buffs appeared that monsters put on themselves after each hit, namely a shield that takes 50% of all damage. However, that's not all, because the boss himself also throws buffs on himself after the hit) And if that's not enough for you, the minions have a hit that restores their health).
To sum up, what do we have? A boss who sends minions with each attack, applies effects to the entire group, and also gives an evasion buff to the boss himself. And his minions, who are simply impossible to kill in one turn, due to their... characteristics, which is why they are very strong.
It was on this ♥♥♥♥ that I lost my best tri, which lasted probably 2 hours.
So I'm left with the question of how it's even planned to pass? It's simply inadequate, even a strong squad that swept away the rest of the bosses with ease could do absolutely nothing to this.
As a bonus, let me remind you that in this part they took away the ability to escape from the battle, as was the case in the first game, so everything ends here with a restart, where you have to go through several hours again and pray to all the random gods.
