I waited for a few years in order to play this game and was really hyped about it, however sadly it was a colossal disappointment.

-The materials obtained from different animals will almost always be either a "prey" type or "predator type", so different animals basically drop the same items as these "prey" and "predator" types only affect stats upon crafting gear.

-The most annoying enemy in the game is a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ bear. It can literally sometimes go through your parry and it can literally start ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ you up out of nowhere the moment you start chilling and getting some wood. At night, monster spawn rates are insane and the mobs themselves are really repetitive.

-The bosses are cool, props for that, however the way the game is currently, bosses are not enough.

-All maps are the same, in meaning that there is no procedural generation, so when creating a new world with portal cards, those worlds will have the exact same layout as your regular world just with different effects, which are not really that consequential anyway.

-The building feels really clunky at times as it is really annoying to build tiles, walls, or different floors sometimes due to there being no real "snap" mechanic. Also, when building, the materials from your chests are not used at all, unlike with crating.

-The crafting is really cool, but it can't carry the entire game as the game by itself is mediocre and boring as of right now. You basically run around either completing puzzles or clearing out infestations and recruiting pokemons to work for you and thats about it. There is nothing much to do in the game and there is nothing that will really get you excited as you can't just go in a random direction and explore the map, since it is already explored for you and is quite small.

-For a "sandbox" survival game, Nightingale is extremely linear as of right now. Without procedural generation, random events, polished out mechanics and animations, and more content, the game will simply not survive.

The first time I saw the first trailer for Nightingale a few years ago, I couldn't wait to play this game, however as of right now, the game is simply not worth it. Even Minecraft on Peaceful mode has more content than Nightingale, which is insane.

If you want to buy this game, wait for another 4-5 years if it is still alive. It is simply not worth your time as of right now.

This game was fun. No clue what happened to it but an update completely changed the playstyle to a completely different game. I feel bait and switch'd

This is not a purchasable product at the moment. It runs like absolute garbage and their lighting system is fundamentally broken.
