I can't see myself purchasing these games without achievements.

Same, any modern game in this day and age without achievements is probably a pass. It has to be too good like Rimworld.

just purchased both games assuming theyd have achievements, tempted to refund as ive played them on mobile already...

Game itself is very important...
but there are way too many cool games out there, so if someone like to get achievements too, then it helps to filter what to play/buy... becuase you know... there are more good ones out there than the amount possible to be played.
