games keep crashing .. and the difficulty goes random crazy

This is one of those games that doesn't feel great at first but if you stick with it, it actually shows itself to be something pretty special. Let me explain: there are a lot of essential moves that aren't given to you right off the bat, such as parrying and doing a ground pound attack, but once you put in enough time to unlock those items, the game starts to feel great. I personally think they should always include two those aspects in the game immediately, but at least they are there at all.

The controls are fairly smooth as well. I never feel like I die due to jank! The art is beautiful, the sounds effects are crisp, and the soundtrack fits the game play nicely. Each hero can attack in a variety of ways specific to them and they all can have one melee weapon + one ranged weapon equipped. There are lots of variety in the weapons feel, damage, elemental status effects, and range. You can also pick up health flasks at various points in a run, equip sub weapons, and some consumables as well.

Very light game play related spoilers ahead, FYI, Each hero start on a different path and each path has 2 well designed bosses. After you beat your first run, hardcore mode is unlocked. I am not sure what happens once you beat all 3 paths, but I assume there is a final boss/area of some kind.

All in all, this is a great action platforming roguelite with a few metriodvania elements (like Dead Cells) and if you stick with it through the first hour or two, it really shines. There's a lot to like here and I tip my hat to the devs for giving us a great gaming experience!

This game is a great and difficult roguelite, similar to dead cells where you get random weapon and item drops, challenging boss fights, and plays fluidly. It's worth the price if you enjoy this genre.
