Well , that's the point isn't it ? A certain group of "people" started using terms that were unknown to the general public, even creating some of them; you know that words: ...ist, ...ism, ....phobic, etc. So, in a way, those "people" were identifying a problem, would not you agree ? Here is the same thing but going the opposite direction.
