The reviews for this game confuse me. It seems like people are impressed by the novelty of microphone based attacks. I remember this when I was like 12 on my DS. True, it's not a mechanic you readily find on PC games, but this game doesn't do much with it.

This game doesn't really do anything interesting.

The combat is decent, the visuals are average. The story is absent, partially due to the terrible translation, but also what is there is barely there.

If you want mindless button mashing this game is good for that. You can spam attack and dodge successfully, so this game really isn't that hard.

Unfortunately it's not very weird and doesn't take it's premise far enough. Microphone controlled loot was cool but I took it as a premise for more interesting mechanics not the absolute limit of what the game could offer. I found some gloves that changed the music. That's cool but the novelty wears off quick. Maybe I was unlucky and didn't find better loot.

This game could've been better if it had more 4th wall breaking mechanics, stranger enemies, stranger environments. I went to a place called horror world. It was the same beige environments as magical world. The enemies were annoying invisible spiders and nothing else. Why have themed world if you're not going to commit to them?

As it is, it's barely worth the $5 i got it for on sale.

If 5 is a totally average game, this game is a 5.5/10. Playable, completable even, but you never escape the notion that you're wasting your time.
