They will most likely do that.
Thats just how gamedeveloping work this days.
they got their money from all the idiots that preordered it.
On to next game. (money,money,money).
Someone cut the budget and manpower...sadly was appearent due to the scope of the last patches.
(Jumping from version 0.6.* to Release....something happened in the back and a lot of development got cut.)
Most of the devs were based there idk if they still are
The company(games lab) is owned by a Swedish mobile games specialist though, a holding company
"stillfront"
They sure tricked me, but it won't happen twice. Hope they learn a lesson when they inevitably get shutdown because people stop buying their products.
I don't think the game sold that well, certainly was not what many were expecting and was extremely overpriced. While the economic side seems to be a great concept the battles and controls are awful. Think it is more that the gaming community does not like it and it did not live up to the hype. Why continue to develop a game that simply won't sell.
Idk what overall sales they had but it's a disaster in terms of people playing daily on steam
We don't have figures for people playing on the standalone player but the steam player base is a few 100 diehards
The full release only got it to 300 for a day or so which is never going to be enough to warrant major updates now
Such a shame when it's so close to being a good game and the grand strategy part has some very good touches, but can't see it doing a total war Pharaoh and transforming into a better game now
A unpopular setting for the game
Sub par battles on land and a downgraded naval war
Poor intro for new players with too slow a build up then it ends up being too frantic and like herding cats in the late mid game
Just hope they get a chance to make a new game with the same formula but with better battles
Maybe a change of staff will reignite the series
Really sad 😢
Why is this information on some dubious third party platform, but not here on their official steam sites? 🤦♀️
