This is the worst Dread X Collection unfortunately. There are a lot of first person walking sim horror games here and they blend together. The collection is very poorly optimised. Here are my thoughts on each game with a rating out of 5:

Hunsvotti: It's ok. Very simple, short first person game where you collect flowers while being chased by monsters. 2/5

Gallerie: Another first person horror game with little interaction. I didn't like this at all. Nonsensical story, graphics that hurt your eyes and I just found the whole thing annoying. 1/5

The Book of Blood: Serviceable little first person horror game, the scares got me a few times and it keeps you on the edge of your seat. 3/5

Karao: First person survival horror, gameplay is ok and the story is engaging. Soundtrack is also great. 4/5

Rotten Stigma: Decent little survival horror game but it's very short and it ends right as it's getting good. 3/5

Spirit Guardian: yet another first person horror game where most of your playtime will be spent running and hiding from a threat you can't fight back against. It was ok. pretty forgettable, but the graphics were pretty. 3/5

We Never Left: One of the highlights of the collection for sure, another first person horror game but with a unique old-school text adventure spin. Superb soundtrack. 4/5

Vestige: My favourite game from the collection. It's partly first person but it controls different to the other games here and it delves into a different genre as well. Great story, loved the gameplay and the whole vibe. 5/5

Resver: Very forgettable. Another first person game and it goes for style over substance. Feels like an art project more than a game. I didn't get much out of it at all. 1/5

Ludomalica: Another first person horror game where you'll be running from a monster. Cool premise at first but it's very repetitive and until you get to the end you'll be doing essentially the same thing you did at the start over and over. 2/5

Beyond the curtain: Another run of the mill first person horror indie. Run from monster with no way to fight back. No real art style or direction, very generic 🥱 1/5

Interim: Another one. The live action stuff could be cool if done right but it doesnt really add anything to the game the way it's used. This game is the worst of the collection by far unfortunately. Terribly optimised too, I've never heard my PC's fans this loud even when running brand new AAA games on the highest settings. 0/5.

The overworld/story mode of the collection was pretty fun but again, badly optimised. I had more fun here than in most of the actual games. 3/5
