We are back with a minor update consisting mostly of fixes and some minor QoL changes.

Remember that our translations are done by our community and are still being fine tuned, so pop into our discord[discord.gg] and leave some feedback for these great people!

• Updated hundreds of translated text strings - some of which were incorrect quest journal entries that were completely outdated. Thank you for reporting these and thanks to our community translators for putting in the work!
  
• We have changed the Chinese font to a thicker, more readable font.
  
• Right clicking a workstation now directly opens its inventory or production overview, resulting in fewer clicks needed.
  
• Double clicking the “Fill” button in a container now dumps anything from your inventory, even if it doesn’t match the current content.
  
• “Sort” and “Empty” button positions have been swapped in chest and crate inventories, matching the default keyboard hotkey placement.
  
• Added “transfer one” and “transfer half stack” to the hover-over hotkey notifications when selecting a resource in your inventory.
  
• Workstation network placement is no longer blocked by the same network’s existing connection paths.
  
• The Kiln now turns Bug Bites into Grime.

• All translation options should now be visible in the setting drop-down, regardless of which language is currently selected.

We are really excited about this update since we will finally be able to share our game with more players.

Some of our most dedicated and precious players have worked hard on translating The Magical Mixture Mill into Chinese, French, and German! We are extremely thankful and proud of their efforts.

Also, we have fixed a myriad of bugs, made some changes focused on QoL, as well as improved the overall performance of the game.

• The game now pauses when minimized, fixing a bunch of unwanted quirks.
  
• Arcane-O-Coils now power in a square, covering a larger area.
  
• The Fermenter and Flavorizer workstations now have a “Pass Through” toggle button in their production interface. When toggled on, the workstation just allows mixtures to pass through without altering them.
  
• Improved performance, especially when outside.
  
• Using the scroll button to pan down on the Daily Tally screen is now much faster.
  
• Added a Origin Ability Ready notification pop-up.
  
• When using a controller or Steam Deck, and no interface/menu is open, holding the left face button now displays buff effects.
  
• When using a controller or Steam Deck while having two inventories open, holding L1 and clicking a resource now moves 1 resource to the other inventory.
  
• When using a controller or Steam Deck while having two inventories open, holding R1 and clicking a resource now moves half of the stack to the other inventory.

After taking some much needed vacation we are back with our first major post full release update.

Broadly speaking, our main focus for this update is to implement all the QoL suggestions possible as well as tweaking numbers and balancing everything better to improve the overall feeling of pacing and progression.

Most noticeably we have added the ability to move workstation networks in bulk. This will make rearranging your workshop much faster and more fun. In the same vein, we have also drastically reduced the material costs of most workstations which should reduce the amount of late game grinding required to fill your workshop.

We also took a look at tools. Mostly, we improved those that were not at an acceptable baseline level. And while we are not going for absolute balance, we had to reduce the effectiveness of the fully upgraded Gilded Pick since it was simply so good that other tools paled in comparison. We don’t like nerfing things but had no choice with this one - but don’t worry, it still feels super satisfying to use while allowing other picks to shine.

Some UI screens also got some love. Most importantly, the map screen now displays repair costs of broken landmarks - like bridges and teleportals - and the import tooltip has been updated, making the repeating orders option more obvious.

The potion value calculations have also been revamped. The short version is that potions are now worth more early on, since modifiers are now flat value increases. Instead, bottle quality is now a multiplier, making bottles much more rewarding to produce in the mid to late game. Overall, this should result in a slight increase in income in the early game, not much change in the mid game, and a potential huge increase in income late game if you make the effort of crafting high quality bottles.

• Workstation Network Moving
  ○ You can now move entire workstation networks based on their existing connections.
  
  
• Shroompedia HUD button
  ○ You can now open the Shroompedia no matter where you are through a new HUD button in the bottom left of the screen.
  ○ The default hotkey is ‘R’.
  
  
• Store Interface Notifications
  ○ When a new interaction or if new info is available in a UI interface, an in-world notification now makes you aware of this.
  ○ This affects the Calendar, the Cargo Lift, the Bookshelf, the Alchemy Table, and the Customer Ledger.
  
  
• Petting Fiona the cat now gives a random resource harvesting buff every day.

• Map Improvements
  ○ All broken landmarks and teleportals are now shown on the map once discovered.
  ○ Selecting a broken landmark or teleportal on the map now shows the material costs needed to repair them, no matter where you are.
  ○ When zooming out, all area names are displayed.
  ○ It is now much clearer where you are on the map when you click a landmark.
  
  
• Potion Value Changes
  ○ ‘Standard’ power rating now increases potion value by 16, was 12.
  ○ ‘Strong’ power rating now increases potion value by 32, was 24.
  ○ ‘Mighty’ power rating now increases potion value by 64, was 48.
  ○ The Prime Essence, Optimal Ingredient and Preferred Flavor stamps now increase potion value by a flat 8 coins, instead of a +25% bonus.
  ○ Bottles now multiply the value of a potion instead of adding a flat bonus.

  ○ All workstation costs have been drastically reduced.
  ○ Workshop expansion material costs have been slightly reduced.
  ○ The size 4 workshop expansion coin cost has been reduced to 15000.
  ○ The size 5 workshop expansion coin cost has been reduced to 50000.
  ○ The size 6 workshop expansion coin cost has been reduced to 200000.
  ○ The Alchemical Society admission test unlock cost has been reduced to 100000 coins.
  ○ The Alchemical Society expertise test unlock cost has been reduced to 500000 coins.
  ○ The Alchemical Society mastery test unlock cost has been reduced to 2500000 coins.
  
  
• Tool Changes
  ○ Gilded Pick: The Wham! Wham! Wham! enchantment now only reduces the cooldown of Heavy Slam by 50% instead of 100%. Heavy Slam now instead has two charges.
  ○ Ronin’s Wakazashi: Blade Dash now pierces all resources, even those it does not damage.
  ○ Tempest: Cyclone Swing now does more damage.
  ○ Bearded Berserker: The order of the enchantments for Speed and Damage increases has been swapped.
  ○ Fists of Judgement: Divine Retribution now damages all resources around you when it triggers.
  
  
• Updated the import screen to make it more obvious that you can make repeating imports.
  
• All resources, potions and materials now have their base value shown just under their tooltip.
  
• Transmuters now sometimes turn yeast into tier 2 and tier 3 ingredients, as well as tier 1.
  
• Bottle Makers can now also use classic bottles instead of glass to make more advanced bottles.
  
• Summoner Crates can now have multiple chest colors toggled on or off to better control where they summon from.
  
• When a tool or origin ability becomes ready, a notification is shown above the player character.
  
• The Flavorizer schematic is now easier to unlock and cheaper to purchase.
  
• The Well Rested movement speed buff is now active no matter when you go to bed, as long as you do not get knocked out.
  
• All work orders and daily tasks have had their objectives and rewards adjusted, making them more worthwhile.
  
• Holding shift while dragging or clicking an inventory stack moves half the stack.
  
• Holding ctrl while dragging or clicking an inventory stack moves one item.
  
• Resources are now discovered the moment you have them in our inventory OR when you select them - not only when you select them.
  
• The druid Fox Shape ability can now be canceled. If canceled within 5 seconds, the cooldown is halved.
  
• Arcane-O-Coils now have a range of 2 per power rating with a maximum of 10 at ‘Mighty’.
  
• Settings now have a ‘Brightness’ slider.
  
• Catapult Crates no longer throw resources if the receiving workstation is full, off or broken.
  
• Moving a workstation now hides the connection points of its original location.
  
• Tool abilities are now displayed in the gear chest.
  
• Tully’s minecart now spawns right in front of the quarry portal, making it much more convenient to loot daily.
  
• All gems and fossils are now worth more coin when exported.
  
• Reduced amount of Noxious Bulbs in the Bubbling Bog.
  
• Dreamsnatchers now also grow in the Forgotten Forest and are less populous in the northern Wilderness.
  
• Dreamsnatchers have had their range and damage reduced.
  
• Klaphats have had their damage reduced.
  
• Glowlights are now easier to hit.
  
• Brain Fungus now also grows in the northern Wilderness.
  
• Bracket Fungus stumps now have the same amount of hit points as regular tree stumps.
  
• Signpost notifications are now disabled after interacting with them.
  
• Moving or building a workstation that requires or produces arcane power now displays all powered tiles.

This is a small hotfix taking care of some small oversights from 1.0.2 that we wanted to take care of before 1.1

• Tier 2 investment upgrade trigger for the Supplier is now correctly labeled as Wood
  
• Tier 3 investment upgrade trigger for the Supplier is now correctly labeled as Stone
  
• You should no longer have an unstoppable import of Brain Fungus if you were automatically importing them before 1.0.2
  
• Certified Artificer achievement should no longer get stuck at 17/20
  
• Master Supplier achievement should now trigger correctly at 10 days of no cravings (this number will be reduced in 1.1, making it easier to get)
  
• Bridge, Don’t Kill My Vibe achievement should now trigger retroactively

We are back with another round of bug fixes and tweaks – and we also snuck in some quick balance changes that we hope will make the early game more smooth.

• Repairing the Shop Shelves now only costs 2500 coins.
  
• Repairing the Quarry Teleportal now costs 10000 coins and Copper Ingots instead of Gold Ingots.
  
• Repairing the Old Woods Bridge now costs 200 Wood and 50 Petrified Wood.
  
• Treasure Chests now reward a lot more shiny, shiny gems.

We did it! We reached full release after one year in Early Access and we are really really proud of the result. But we can’t take all the credit; without your feedback and suggestions we would never have gotten here, so thank you!

1.0 brings a lot of new content and wraps up all quest lines, including the main quest which will lead to a new feature that should test your skills like nothing else: The Alchemical Society.

The rest of the class origins are now also available and we think you will really enjoy controlling your undead sidekick as a necromancer, charging fearlessly into any danger as a paladin, or turning into a sly little fox as a druid.

There are also some new workstations and QoL changes that should improve the logistics of the workshop and make you rethink your entire setup again (sorry).

Oh yeah, and Griselda now has a cat, Fiona.

All in all, we have spent a lot of time balancing numbers, polishing UI, fixing bugs and greatly improving performance across the entire game and we hope you enjoy it all!

• Selecting an Arcane-O-Coil now correctly displays all the workstations it is powering.
  
• Timelost Tomahawk Axe Throw now correctly hits trees if you are standing on a hill.
  
• Pressing H now only hides the player HUD instead of all interfaces and menus.
  
• Crafted materials and mixtures are now correctly discovered when you hover over them in any container, not only in your own inventory.
  
• Fixed a bunch of shader related flickering.
  
• Added ripples when you run through shallow water in the Old Woods.
  
• Customer quests now display correctly in the journal when they are ready to be handed in.
  
• The Way of the Blade enchantment for the Ronin’s Wakazashi now always correctly triggers when hitting five or more herbs with Blade Dash.
  
• Dismantling a container with resources close to a workshop wall should no longer result in some resources being lost to the endless void.
  
• Unstable resources should now always be labeled as such no matter what UI screen they are shown in.
  
• Reduced the amount of environment and resource pop-in when moving around.

We are incredibly happy to announce that our The Magical Mixture Mill will leave Early Access on 27th March 2024 for PC via Steam!

We’ve been busy listening to the community, working to implement new features and suggestions based on your precious feedback.

As well as all the content added during Early Access such as new biomes, workstations, tools and quests, V1.0 introduces even more content to add to your bubbling cauldron: new class origins, workstations, new customer quests and a main quest conclusion, as well as numerous quality-of-life updates, a new… assistant 🐈‍⬛ & more!
