• Fixed an issue where the “Pierce” and “Slash” moves in the Heavenly Sword skill line were incorrectly identified as Stage 2 and Final forms during Mirage Tower challenges

• Fixed an issue where completing the Martial Arts Tournament quest in the Hero’s Adventure DLC did not properly unlock its skill entry in the compendium

• Fixed a lingering visual effect issue for the Demon Six Paths skill on the battlefield (visual only, does not affect skill functionality)

• Updated the level 10 descriptions for all Hidden Weapons skills under Yin-Yang Division to include the effect that increases proficiency (text fix only, no gameplay change)

• Corrected various typos across the game

• Attempted fix for a rare issue where returning equipment to the player could cause a companion’s attributes to disappear

• Save File Naming is back!
   This feature has been restored and is now supported on Steam Deck.
   Use the “Rename” button in the Save/Load menu to input a custom save name via keyboard.

• Added an auto-save checkpoint during the Three Monks vs. Fulongzi battle in the main quest Battle of Tianfo Cave

If you’ve used MODs in a previous version of the game, this update may cause crashes or errors due to incompatibility.

We recommend:

1. Uninstalling all MODs:
    - In your Steam Library → Right-click Wandering Sword → Manage → Browse local files
    - Delete everything in: Wandering_Sword\\Content\\Paks

2. Verifying the integrity of your game files

3. Restarting the game after cleanup

If Steam is not updating the game properly:

• Go to your Steam installation folder and delete the steam.cfg file

• Restart Steam and check for client updates

Note: As of January 1, 2024, Steam has dropped official support for Windows 7 and Windows 8. If deleting steam.cfg does not work, please confirm your OS version is supported.

If you're using an Intel 13th or 14th Gen CPU and experiencing frequent crashes in UE-based games:

1. Download Intel XTU (Extreme Tuning Utility)

2. Set Performance Core Ratio to 45 or 46

We’ve made some fixes and optimizations in this update to improve your experience.

Below are the details:

• Fixed a bug where the "Grandmaster Friend" achievement would not unlock after fully upgrading Bu Weiyue’s meridians.

• Fixed an issue where, at level 5 of Hegemonic Spearplay, the effects of Foresight and Formidable Defense would not continue stacking if there was only one turn left and the character was standing still.

• Fixed a bug where Ouyang Xue would not receive three items during sparring when the Toxicant Pendant was in her inventory and the inventory expansion had been unlocked.

• Fixed an issue where having duplicate quest items for "The Eight Immortals' Artifacts" would cause the related quest to be accepted multiple times.

• Fixed an issue where failing to perfectly complete Pili School would prevent unlocking the side quest "Vib Daox's Assassination" in the Archive.

• Fixed incorrect descriptions for some newly added fish in the fishing manual.

• Fixed an error where Resolute Stoneform was incorrectly displayed as an NPC-exclusive martial art in the Archive.

• Fixed a visual issue where equipping both Mistveil Wave Dance and Conquest Expedition strategies could leave behind afterimages.

• Optimized the level 10 effect description for Baidi Sword Formation. The coordinated attack trigger range now reads “within a cross-shaped five-tile radius centered on the target.” (Text-only change; no effect on gameplay.)

• Optimized the description for Siege Piercer. Changed “when using other spear/staff moves next turn” to “the next time you use any other spear/staff move.” (Text-only change; no effect on gameplay.)

• Corrected several typos.

• Attempted to fix an issue where Di Zui's attributes became abnormal after completing the side quest "Re-visit Bitterwater Village."

• Attempted to fix a possible crash when entering the forest during the "Qingyun Fan Art" training quest.

• Attempted to fix an issue where a duplicate Lianxin could appear after the rocking chair gift event in the home area.

• Manual Save File Naming: You can now rename save files manually by clicking "Rename" in the save/load screen and typing in a custom name. (This feature is not yet supported on Steam Deck but will be included in a future update.)

• Inventory Sorting in Shops: When opening a shop, any items in your inventory that are also sold by the shop will automatically appear at the top of your inventory panel, making it easier to check what you already own.

Hello swordsmen!

We've made several fixes and optimizations in this update. Details are as follows:

• Fixed an issue where items could not be sold individually in the trading interface and only bulk/quick selling was available.

• Increased the batch limit for forging, tailoring, alchemy, cooking, trading, and using items to 1000 per action to help prevent crashes.

• Attempted to improve issues where the battlefield may display abnormal visuals (e.g., screen tearing, black screens, or white screens). You can reduce the likelihood of this happening by disabling the “Ultimate Skill Effects” option in Settings → Other Settings.

If you previously installed any mods, the update may cause compatibility issues that prevent the game from launching or trigger errors during gameplay. If this occurs, we recommend uninstalling all mods:

1. Go to your game library → right-click Wandering Sword → Manage → Browse local files

2. Delete all contents under this path: Wandering_Sword\\Content\\Paks

3. Verify the integrity of your game files and restart the game.

If Steam fails to update the game, try deleting the steam.cfg file in your Steam directory, then restart Steam and check for updates.

• Fixed a bug in \[MAIN STORY] Become Discipline Disciple where if you hadn’t officially defeated Master Daotong, the pre-requisite quest \[AFFILIATION QUEST] Daowei's Request for \[SIDE QUEST] Silk Feast might not trigger.
  (Players who are stuck at this stage and have completed Pili School and Myriad Shots, please head to the Swordplay Platform in the center of Wudang after updating to trigger Daowei's Request.)

• Fixed a bug in \[MAIN STORY] Jade Dragon's Roar where Yao Ji could not enter the Xuanhuo Cult after joining your party.

• Fixed the incorrect usage condition for the Sacred Rippling Springs Spear Blueprint, it can now be used directly.

• Fixed incorrect classification for Chaos Martial Codex - Yin and Chaos Martial Codex; both are now correctly listed under Xuanhuo Cultivation Method.

• Fixed a bug where equipping both Storm Gallop and Swaying Pines would increase skill cooldowns after triggering the linked movement effect.

• Fixed a bug in the level 5 effect of Conquest Expedition, where movement was incorrectly reducing damage mitigation instead of increasing it.

• Fixed an issue where after Battle of Skylinemont or during the Shaolin infiltration storyline, Di Zui would not return the Bodhi Prayer Beads equipment as expected.

• Fixed the achievement "Master Of Fist Techniques" not unlocking correctly.

• Fixed an issue where, after failing the quest \[SIDE QUEST] Silk Feast, parts of the quest could still incorrectly trigger in Hepu Manor.

• Fixed an issue where the assassination cutscene involving Yao Ji at night in Hepu Manor could not be skipped.

• Fixed UI box not displaying correctly when obtaining Eastern Sea Pearl during an appointment at Pingkang Inn (item was still properly received).

• Added missing text description for Astral Mirage level 10 effect noting Agility +35 (text only, effect unchanged).

• Added missing text description for Monkey Dance level 10 effect noting Agility +10 (text only, effect unchanged).

• Fixed a description error for Drifting Cloud Tai Chi Fist and Drifting Cloud Tai Chi Swordplay level 10 effects.
  Changed from “Did not move and did not use any Martial Points this turn” to “Did not move or did not use any Martial Points” (text only, effect unchanged).

• Fixed an incorrect skill range image for Shangqing Wind and Cloud Method.

• Fixed display errors for new dish buff icons in Secrets of the Eastern Sea.

• Fixed various typos.

• Attempted to fix a bug where two duplicate party members could appear on Nameless Island.

• Attempted to fix a bug where two instances of Bu Weiyue might appear in the cutscene at Immortal's Crossing.

• Quick sell no longer requires selecting a quantity manually.

• Forging, Tailor, Alchemy, and Cooking now support batch crafting.

• A new Stage Station has been added in the Mirage Waters region. Interact with the courier on the nearby overworld map to activate it.

• Simplified system text during “Learn All” actions.

• In New Game+ runs, you can now skip all ending cutscenes and proceed directly to results.

• Appointment reward for choosing the paper fan route has been updated to match the iron fan route.

• Added right-click to close functionality in the Ancient Diagrams mini-game interface.

• Added overall difficulty notes in the Mirage Realms UI.

The erroneous quest will be automatically removed and replaced with a new ‘Daowei's Request’ Quest.]

• Fixed an issue where the item 'Jade Sculptor's Strike Manual Fragments' had incorrect text descriptions and could be used on teammates other than those of the fist type.\[For players who have already used it incorrectly, please go to Blossom Trail on the world map. The mislearned 'Jade Sculptor's Strike' will be automatically removed from the teammate, and an 'Incomplete Jade Sculpting Manual' will be returned.]

• Fixed a bug where Bu Weiyue would not appear after leaving the team and moving to Immortal's Crossing.\[For players who have already had her leave the team, please go to the Immortal's Crossing, and Bu Weiyue will automatically appear.]

• Fixed a bug where some side quest might fail to trigger.\[Mo Wen only needs 90 Affection to survive. • Fixed an issue with the Immortal's Crossing pirate insider quest where obtaining and using the quest item ‘Ambergris Sachet’ too early would prevent the next stage from triggering.\[For players already stuck in this quest, you can now interact directly with the next-stage NPC without needing the sachet.]

• Fixed a bug in 'Silk Feast' quest line where, if the protagonist learns the skill ‘Supreme Blaze’ and chooses the romance route, Yao Ji might fail to comprehend the 'Chaos Martial Codex'.

• Fixed a bug where the 'Astral Shrine' was incorrectly displayed in the Inheritance Library interface.

• Fixed a bug in ‘Secrets of the Eastern Sea’ where, after defeating the Yin-Yang School, players who met the teammate requirements could not trigger the campfire event with their teammates. Players who have already completed the quest will unlock the corresponding Codex entry after the update.

• Fixed a bug during the 'Jade Dragon Roar' stage of the main story where, if Lü Xian'er had already learned 'Pearflower Spear - Ultimate', the subsequent story events (including the ending cutscene) would not progress correctly.

• Fixed a bug in the Codex where items under the item category were incorrectly shown as unlocked even if they hadn't been obtained yet (visual issue only, does not affect actual progress tracking).

• Fixed an issue where the skill 'Mistveil Wave Dance' did not trigger the Level 7 effect during the first turn.

• Fixes an issue where the Level 7 effect of Five Balances Sutra sometimes failed to trigger in Real-Time Mode.

• Fixes an issue where the quest icon did not appear above the constable's head when the quest The Pirate Insider was available.

• Fixed an issue where the 'Master of Fist Techniques' achievement would not unlock correctly.

• Fixed an issue where the skill icon for 'Skypiercer Thrust' had the wrong color.

• Fixed an issue where the 'Century-old Legacy' quest from 'Secret of The Eastern Sea' was not properly closed after entering the Southern Chronicles main storyline.

• Fixed an issue where the Master of Yin-Yin-Yang School's Max Qi value was incorrect.

• Fixed an issue where Shangguan Hong's outfit was incorrect during the gatekeeping cutscene with Sima Ling in the Southern Chronicles main storyline.

• Fixed an issue where Lu Xian er’s outfit was incorrect during the battle against Yuan forces at Xungu Pass.

• Fixed an issue where the dialogue with the Sweeper Elder beneath the Jade Pavilion stairs could still be triggered after completing the 'Silk Feast' event.

• Fixed an issue where the Ye siblings could possibly overlap at the He Pu Manor training ground.

• Fixed an issue where the character portrait in the character menu would not update when changing outfits.

• Attempted to fix an issue where the story event might not trigger when heading to Jinglong during the main quest 'Meeting in Jinglong'.

• Attempted to fix an issue where the story event might not trigger during the side quest involving the visit of the Four Martial Arts Families to Pingyang Fortress.

• Added a treasure chest to the Immortal's Village scene. Players who missed the night-time chest can now obtain the 'Nine-Region Scrolls' at the same location during the day.

• Optimized the sandbox combat in 'Tales of the Martial Arts Families' quest. The victory condition for the fifth battle on first entry has been adjusted—now the follow-up story will trigger after surviving approximately 2 to 3 turns.

• Enabled the Observe, Gift, Spar, and Inquire options for Mu Ai at He Pu Manor. You can now obtain the 'Skypiercer Thrust' manual by sparring with her.

• Optimized the learning conditions for 'Resolute Stoneform' — the protagonist can now learn this martial art by inquiring with other characters.

• Optimized the dialogue conditions for asking Qingxu, Yuanjue, and Mu Haitang about Master Qingyun. As long as the prerequisite quests are completed, these conversations can now be triggered any time before the Southern Chronicle main quest, and can be triggered simultaneously without conflict.

• Optimized the Level 4 effect description of 'Instant of Infinity' by adding a clarification: this effect will overwrite any existing 'Instant of Infinity' effect to last for 3 turns.(This is a text-only change and does not affect the actual skill behavior.)

• In the update on the 19th, the Mount DLC effects were revised. After purchasing the Mount Expansion Pack, all mounts in the game will receive a scene movement speed bonus of +300 and a world map movement speed bonus of +1000. They will also come with the 'Confusion Incense' effect, preventing monsters in dungeons from actively pursuing the player. (Mounts included in the base game have a default movement speed of +150 in scenes and +750 on the world map.)

• All Codex entries marked as DLC will no longer count toward overall Codex completion progress.

• If you have installed any MODs in previous versions of the game, the update may cause compatibility issues, preventing the game from launching properly or causing errors during gameplay. If you encounter such issues, we recommend uninstalling any installed MODs (go to your game library, right-click on "Wandering Sword", select "Manage", then "Browse local files", and delete all contents under the path Wandering_Sword\\Content\\Paks). After that, verify the integrity of the game files and try launching the game again.

  • If Steam is unable to update the game, you can try deleting the steam.cfg file in the Steam directory, then restart Steam and check for client updates.

  • (Previously, unlocking the Tianshan Sect's Legacy would incorrectly also unlock Qingyun's Legacy—this has now been fixed)

• Updated the skill descriptions for certain sandbox abilities to better reflect their actual in-game effects

• Fixed an issue where the "All Is Mind" (万法唯识) weapon in the Tier A reward chest on Mirage Island Floor 7 had no forging attribute

  • Players who obtained the incorrect version can place it in their inventory and return to Mirage Island; it will be auto-replaced at the entrance

• Fixed an issue where equipment rewards in Mirage Island under the “8 Modifiers” Nightmare extension lacked max-tier stats

• The June 19 update added Baidi Sword Spirit, a new exclusive skill for Sima Ling

  • If you had previously completed the full compendium, you can now re-claim the full skill reward by unlocking this new entry

  • To unlock: Complete the \[MAIN STORY] Shadowmere Marsh and trigger the gatekeeper cutscene with Shangguan Hong and Sima Ling

  • If you’ve already completed this part, simply spar with Sima Ling and save your game to unlock the skill

• Fixed a bug from the Echoes of Ash and Dust version where 100% damage immunity (with no HP loss) would be mistakenly treated as an evasion

• Adjusted the text description for the Level 7 effect of Three Enclosures' Force to match its actual in-game effect

If you’ve installed any MODs, this update may cause crashes or errors due to incompatibility. Please uninstall all MODs, verify your game files, and restart the game to avoid issues.
