Healing Spells
Are they increased based off Int stat, or Res stat similar to Disgaea and other games in the same genre. Assuming they scale the same as damage elemental spells, as there's no signification they scale off resistance

Pretty sure Healing spells scale off Intelligence and they changed to Res with Disgaea.

Year late correction here, but they changed it to Res in Disgaea 2, which also changed the scaling on fist weapons. Disgaea 1 scaled healing off int, which is why when you give Flonne the Mahogony Brain not only does her damage with spells go up, but her healing skyrockets. It's also why healers were only "slightly" worse than mages at flinging damage spells since both use the same primary stat at nearly the same base.

Every game from Disgaea 2 on switched healing to scale off res, which had the side effect of making it so every tank with high res is also an effective healer. Even Phantom Brave and Makai Kingdom scale it off res.

Worth pointing out that due to some wonky stuff with how int scaling works in this game, healing is pretty much the only use for the int stat later on. Physical damage greatly outscales magic later.

Magic damage ends up being greatly inferior to Special Attacks in pretty much every post game in the series yeah, though it sometimes stays useful because Special Attack damage vastly exceeds the rate of defensive growth outside of the huge Base HP and HP Multipliers that bosses sometimes get, and very few Special Attacks have the Range + Flexibility ( in terms of adjustable area + free placement ) of Magic.
