[Bug] Launching the full version only launches the trial version

I tried the trial version, then bought the full version on Steam. I've been playing it off and on on my Mac (Sonoma 14.5), and noticed that it typically crashes when I quit it and ignored it.

But today when I launched it, it comes up as the trial. My saved game shows up in settings, but the main puzzle 'map' screen that shows all the modes and unlocks is reset to the trial version and the trial banner is at the bottom telling me to upgrade.

I've tried deleting and redownloading, and verifying integrity of files, but there's been no effect.

Just to make sure :
The demo version of the game is included within the full game and can be played from there, are you sure that the crash or whatever didn't set you to the "demo version mode", in which case you could switch back to the "full game mode" from the settings?
