Hi everyone,

Today’s update is a BIG one for all you world cleaners and animal helpers! We’ve got a whole bunch of new content, not only a new map that is completely free, but also some updates to the original maps in the game to keep you relaxed and interested.

This time, you’ll set forth on a journey to a completely new map - Africa - that will test your world cleaning skills! You’ll also meet some new animal friends - namely, the beautiful ostriches.

But before we jump into the details, we’d like to let you know that our newest game - Captain Pawsome - launches today in Early Access!

Captain Pawsome is a cozy 2D fishing game where you play as the titular captain. You’ll manage your own shop and upgrade your ship as you journey across the ocean, cleaning up the environment and catching tens of unique types of fish. If you’d like to set sail on a relaxing adventure with your own feline captain, be sure to check Captain Pawsome out!

Now, let’s jump into the details of what’s new in Fresh Start with today’s update!

Those fires need to be put out and nature has to be restored to this beautiful piece of land! As you traverse the map, you'll stumble upon a quaint chapel atop a hill in need of restoration. Additionally, prepare to take on an entirely new challenge, as you help establish a coffee plantation! One of the other highlights of this map is your chance to encounter and assist the majestic ostriches in their natural habitat.


Each of the original maps now has 2 additional activities for you to complete. One is required for progress, the other one is not, but we’ve got a feeling that you’ll want to finish it anyway. The first one is cleaning muddied dirty posters that have been scattered around the maps. Give each of those a good ol’ splash and you should be done in no time at all. We've also scattered adorable new feline friends across these beloved maps and the second update is related to those fellas. Each of these furry friends has a knack for stylish headgear! While exploring, keep an eye out for a hat that you can place on your furry companions. It's a heartwarming experience that's not mandatory to complete the level but should add an extra layer of joy to your adventure.

Finally, we’ve made slight changes to the overall layout of the world map to make it look better, while also trying to improve its readability.

Fresh Start just got even fresher with the addition of a brand new map - say hello to the Port! This once-beautiful seaside location is in urgent need of your help to restore its former glory. Get ready to plant roses, fix up the fish and chips stand, and bring back the shine to the founder raccoon's statues. And of course, you can't forget about making that adorable albino raccoon's day with a special gift.

Hope you're having a fresh day! The newest patch for Fresh Start is here, but first, let us express our deepest thanks to you, again. We're super happy about how the game's release went (aside from the bugs, of course - we hate them, too) and it brings us so much joy to know you've been enjoying the game. Thanks to you, we’re happy pandas!

We know that there have been some frustrating bugs and problems you've been encountering, so we set out to sort these out! You should now be able to get all the achievements while NOT falling out of the maps. Pretty cool! If you want to take a look at a detailed breakdown for this patch, here it is:

- Steam achievements are fixed!
Now you should finally be able to complete your achievement stamp collection by befriending all animals.

- Added an out of bounds failsafe mechanism
While it is unknown to us how to do it, some of you clever cleaners found a way to explore the endless underworld of the Fresh Start maps. Now, if that happens to you, you'll never again experience the endless fall - shortly after getting out of bounds you will be teleported back to the start of the map.

- New feature - the "Back to Map" option
However if you can still manage to take the fall and are not taken back, or get stuck anywhere, you can use the new "Back to Map" option from the menu. Pressing the button will take you straight to the world map where you can restart the level you got stuck in (all experience points and junk will be saved for you).

- Onsen & robots bug fixed
It is now possible to place robots in the onsen building.

- Added the Control Guide feature
We've added a new section in the controls settings and now, you'll be able to easily access the controls guide (you can also quickly check it while you play by pressing the H button - this works outside of the tutorial)

We wanted to share something extra with you, as well. Turns out some Youtubers are enjoying Fresh Start as well, so we thought we'd point you to a couple of great gameplay videos from some amazing content creators. Sometimes it's good to put your own tools down and see someone else revive the world. Enjoy!

Today’s the day! The day we all grab our cleaning tools, suck the dirt up and sprinkle life back into the planet!

Fresh Start’s full release is OUT NOW!

The road to releasing the game was one filled with fun, joy and excitement. There were also challenges and hardships to overcome, but we managed, and in no small part thanks to your continuous support and feedback. The game’s better thanks to you, and for that we’re really grateful!

With the full release comes new content, and there’s lots of it! We teased it in the previous updates to keep you up to speed, but this is the time we’d like to show you (almost) everything that’s new in the game.

No more stalling - here’s what’s new in the full release of Fresh Start! Enjoy!

Doubled content - 2x more maps!
Not one, not two, but five! There are 5 brand new maps for you to discover, along with lots of new creatures to meet and help! That’s a lot of dirt-cleaning and water-spraying, but let’s be honest - that’s nothing you can’t deal with. Have fun cleaning them up and bringing them back to their clean and colorful selves!

Look at those sad faces - they need your help to be happy again.
Alps
A lovely mountainside is in need of some help. Bee there or be square!
Forest
Destroyed bird houses and wild animal feeders is something we can’t ignore. And the animal traps need to go, too.
Onsen
Onsen are a place of rejuvenation. It needs some deep cleaning so that the inner and outer peace can be found and restored.
Garden
It’s not just a community garden, it’s a place that allows you to reconnect with nature.
Poland
This will be the end of your journey (unless you want to revisit previous maps) - clean up the countryside vacation spot and set up everything for a deserved rest. A surprise is waiting for you here - don’t miss it! :)
Plenty of new quests
New maps mean new quests. As in the early access maps, these provide additional tasks you have to fulfill while cleaning up the environment. Each map has its own quests and each completed one nets you experience and brings you closer to fully reviving the nature. We don’t want to spoil too much here, though - we want you to find and experience the quests yourself. Happy questing!

3 new skills
Someone watered the skill trees! Well, that’s convenient, isn’t it? Each skill tree now has its top skill available for you to unlock and use! With these, the fun of restoring the world will grow like the flowers you’ll be watering throughout your journey.

Water Flash - will give you power to destroy mud and water plants instantly
Cyclone - turns trash collecting into a superpower
Robot Friend - forget about going back and looking for your robots - now, they’ll always be at your disposal

New animals to save and befriend
Every map has new animals that need your attention… or at least a cuddle. Find them and help them out - they’re crucial to the well-being of the planet! They’re adorable, too, so be careful not to get swept away by their cuteness.

Upgraded UI
The UI is now upgraded and updated to be more readable, clear and overall better. You can check out the comparison below.

The way that quests show you what’s needed has changed too - now a bigger icon is shown on your screen instead of a small one in a white pop up above the interactive item.

Achievements
We’ve got something for the achievement hunters, too! If you’re one of those players that like some additional challenge in the games in the form of getting achievements, there are 24 of those waiting for you to grab. Also, additional 6 are hidden and you’ll have to find them by yourself.



Full Controller support
The game now fully supports controllers, so you can grab the one that’s your favorite and play the way you prefer it.

9 languages to choose from
The game now supports new languages! Overall, there are now 9 language options to choose from. These are: English, Polish, German, French, Italian, Spanish, Japanese, Simplified Chinese & Traditional Chinese.

Whew, that’s it. We sincerely hope you’re satisfied with the amount of new stuff in the game and that you’ll have fun playing and discovering all the new content. We were very busy with working on adding more content and polishing the game and now… the Full Release is just around the corner!

We have carefully gathered your feedback to make the game better and we’re also super grateful for all the kind words from all of you. It’s truly heartwarming to know that the game can bring so much joy and tranquility at the same time, making it possible to unwind, relax and have some fun - it really feels like what we do matters and makes you feel better :)

Let’s jump right into the update proper. First, to have an idea of what’s coming, let’s take a look at the world map:

As you can probably tell by looking at the animal icons, we’ll be adding FIVE BRAND NEW MAPS! Each one is different, but all of them need your help cleaning them up and bringing them back to life - there’s mud and trash (and plants in dire need of watering) everywhere!

Here’s a little sneak peak of what you can expect (we don’t want to spoil all of the surprises):

Apart from what we promised - New Languages (including traditional Chinese), Full Controller Support and Achievements - here’s what’s coming in the full release:
