do I need to install EA launcher for this game?
Don't expect miracles from your GPU though. I recon you will be as "fine" as anyone who respects the laws of time and goes into this with reasonable expectations regarding the "pretty"-settings.
You will want to try dynamic objects on "high" for good visibility. If that turns out asking too much of your 1080, then you might need to look into .ini tweaking for viewing-distances at lower settings.
Your CPU meets "official specs" - but the game is not yet finished in terms of optimization. And UE4 means: some shader compilation stutter will happen at some point during gameplay.
Good luck!
My CPU is a generation older then yours, my gpu is much better though. I'm playing in VR quite comfortably and looks nice.
Big performance killers are reflections is one i know for sure. I keep those on ultra low
But the game itself is really fantastic, so beautiful, especially rainy Finland.
Awesome! Happy you can play and enjoy it
That goes away pretty quick though
I have:
Zotac 1070
K7700
16gb
Hdd
And it runs really ok for me :)
You definitely need a true high end if you want top notch performance and look !
i have Ryzen 9 5900x rx 6800 16gb ssdm2 and it's definitely not running well
Ryzen 7 2700
32gb ddr4 ram
7900 GRE
What FPS are you playing at?
The Ryzen 2700 is not a very strong CPU anymore. You might try capping the game at 60 fps to see if the stutter goes away.
Yeah, after I typed this up I poked around and realized I might have a bottleneck at my CPU. That said, I do play at 60fps. Even when I run the game at ultra low and 1280x720 resolution I get stuttering especially when entering any amount of drift around corners the same as playing on Ultra at 2560x1440. As you can imagine it makes playing very frustrating.
I upgraded from a 1070 to a 4060 ti though, because I had to run in FSR Ultra Performance.
