I wanted to provide a quick update on what's been happening in Pixelshire lately, as things have been moving fast behind the scenes.

We are currently deep into alpha testing, and it's been a whirlwind of bug fixes and system improvements. My apologies for not being as active in the channels lately—alpha testing is keeping the team and me incredibly busy! 😅 We're actively making improvements based on the alpha feedback to ensure the game is in the best shape possible.

In addition, we're working hard on localizing the game into several languages, including English, French, German, Spanish, Portuguese, Japanese, Chinese, and Greek. 🌍 We also plan to add more languages after the release. The languages were selected based on player demographics to ensure we reach the largest portions of our audience.

For those of you who were asking, that's how we determined the languages aside from Greek (which is my native language).

We're also wrapping up some final porting tasks for the Switch and PlayStation versions 🎮 and tackling the required age ratings for each platform.

Now, onto one of the biggest questions we’ve been getting:

When will the game be released? 🕒

The simple answer: once we're satisfied with the alpha feedback. We're targeting a release within 2024. As soon as we feel confident in the state of the game, we'll lock in and announce a specific date.

Regarding the physical Switch version that some of you have been asking about:

This has been postponed by the publisher because the physical version of Switch requires around 6 months to be ready, and we didn’t want to delay all platform releases for that long. Unfortunately, this decision was out of my hands, but I want to be transparent with you all that we tried our best to avoid this delay. The digital versions on Steam, Switch, and PlayStation will still be released much sooner. 🚀

It's been a while since our last update. Over the past few months, we have been immersed in various aspects of the game, focusing on enhancing and expanding existing systems, as well as polishing the game.

We would like to update you with just a couple of the features we've been working on!


In the previous month, we introduced a new area, bringing the total to six, including the main town area. Additionally, we implemented a new system called the "Treasure Digging System" and revamped the menu flow to enhance controller friendliness.

We've introduced a new feature that enables players to customize their interior spaces by changing floors and walls. Along with more customization items, you can now adorn your walls and floors, adding a whole new dimension to personalization within the game.

For this month, our main focus is on the progression system and reworking the tutorial at the start of the game.

Additionally, we're actively working on expanding the terraforming system, incorporating new layers and additional mechanics. Our goal is to create a seamless integration between terraforming and other in-game systems, with exciting possibilities such as water farming in ponds. We are also making significant changes to the UI/UX, HUD, and menus.

We have been continuously working on making improvements and adding new features within the game for a better player experience, we can’t wait for you to play it!
