A waste of time!
Early in the story (3rd week already) I wasted my time on struggling to escape the cops rather than focusing on the story itself which is completely annoying at this point. Finishing a B tier or A tier race then having a 5 heat after it, and I cannot even go race after race because of it, cops are really hard to escape; reinforcements, cops are a lot faster than you, need to ramp up a lot of speed and proper angle to stall them, thinking that you have escaped (blue escape bar meter) but cops magically knows where you hide, you can't change faster cars (S tiers) to freely roam around the world by opening menu (like forza games), and cops maneuverability is completely insane that it takes luck, good cars, or a forbidden strategy just to escape them. This game is really absurd and annoying imo but I still play it because I love racing games.

I need tips on escaping the cops and youtube didn't help me at all, I need cheats at this point (just to get rid off that 5 heat).

The police is a bit hard yes, but not impossible.

Hi brother.

I agree with the sentiment above. I used to find it so hard to play the SP. Thought it very challenging just like you. I preserved and I succeeded. Experience and skill increase.

HOWEVER... if you'd really rather not have to deal with the cops, there are mods on Nexus that will alter police difficulty drastically.

Modding this game just requires the Frosty Mod Manager and is really straightforward (too straightforward in fact such that you can cheat easily in MP). I run several mods to change weather, car sounds and looks, to get rid of world challenge markers, reduce size of emotes, show the name of first track when someone starts a playlist. All these have vastly streamlined my enjoyment of this game.

Yeah there's no shame in modding the game if you want to have a different experience, its single player after all

I just use WeMod and this problem mostly goes away :)

I agree this was a terrible design decision, though. Long live trainers/PC :8bitheart:

Yeah, I heard you escaping. The police is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ in this game. The best you can do is find your way to get to the city and get on top of the elevated tracks and hide in between the buildings when you're up there just to get rid of the police

Honestly guys, just mod the game. It's easy and the game will feel perfect for you. That's the beauty of gaming on pc!

thats a nfs game not a souls like. you cant expect people to "git gud" in this kind of title. criterion just dont know what they doing

EA has a really dump way to promote SP.. SP is like sidequest for most games.


DONT DO SP BEFORE MP FOR MONTH/S!

unless you want to have suck up tons of hours you could have rather enjoyed by MP chaos =)

just saying as i owned now tons of s or s+ in SP 4 FREE... idk why EA thinks MP should be played first but yeah. sucks.. everyone like me proably goes SP first...then notice Save also isnt shared aswell then notice 2 years later almost 50-70% of winning MP cars are also added on TOP for SP experience.. lol. whoever thought of that must be an ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. who would actually play MP first then get the story? thats so awkward.

This game is a huge dissapointment who wants to try 70 times to get in the fricking game just to realize that its sucks cause EA is too lazy to make a good game.

you also have startup problems? seems the rig..

working fine for her...

2x16 -> 32gb ddr4

2x m2 ssd + windows on sata ssd
win 10

i always can start unbound just once per windows startup.

i just simply will reinstall windows after i have max tax thinsg finished and got the dokument its good and send to goverment. fter that i simply install windows. as usually it does fix this software issue i noticed by win 10+ and later having those sudden problems.. seems windows is bad to a point where its messed up even when you dont yourself mess it up with software/hardware. windows just seems to ♥♥♥ itself when you simply install games and theyre addon stuff like x64/x86 redistrybutables... ... ... <3

you just have to get good tbh. if you can't lose them off-road or by hitting jumps then head to a city and constantly break their line of sight from you by hitting turns and keeping your momentum. I think the cops are alot of fun in this game.
